Elaya's POV:The club my best friend and I chose for the evening of our adventurous night was a dreamy place. The beats of the music already reached the street, and the lights created an exciting, bright chaos. As we entered the club, I felt swept away by the energy of the crowd, not quite like almost two weeks ago. Perhaps it's because I'm trying to distract myself from the encounter with Thy.
The dance floor was already packed, and people were dancing exuberantly to the loud music booming from the speakers. The dance floor was filled, but there was still enough space, and the lights glittered and shone as the DJ continued to amp up the mood. We danced and celebrated as if there were no tomorrow.
While I immersed myself in the music and dancing, I suddenly felt a change. An uncomfortable sense of being observed settled on me, as if someone was intensely watching me, sending shivers down my spine. I looked around, but in the raging crowd, I couldn't see anything conspicuous.Suddenly, my phone vibrated in my handbag. I pulled it out and saw that an unknown number was calling me. I frowned.
Surprised, I answered the call and whispered into the loud club ambiance, "Hello, who's there?"The voice on the other end was deep and compelling. "Elaya, you should go home now. It's not safe here." The message came out of nowhere, and I froze. "Who are you? Why are you calling me?" My best friend noticed my confusion and asked worriedly, "What's wrong? Who's calling you?"
"Just my mom. Are you getting us more drinks?" I tried to play it off. "Sure!"
I looked around in the crowd again and noticed Thy standing at a distance with his phone in hand, seemingly all alone. His eyes met mine, and he gave me a penetrating look that made me freeze. His eyes were dark."Go home, Elaya," he said again. His voice was serious and concerned, but also marked by undeniable dominance. A shiver ran down my spine.
My best friend returned with two drinks, but she looked at me questioningly. "Elaya, who's on the phone? And don't tell me it's your mom. Also, who's that guy over there? He's not taking his eyes off you." Her eyes shifted between me and Thy, clearly expressing concern.I couldn't bear the confusion and the pressure weighing on me any longer. "I don't know, but he says I should go home, and he's watching me." The words came almost in a whisper from my lips.
My best friend frowned and looked around. "That's strange. Maybe we should leave and play it safe."I wasn't sure how to react. On one hand, there was this unknown warning that unsettled me; on the other hand, Thywan was in the distance, also seemingly advising me to leave the club.
A storm of confusion and uncertainty raged in my thoughts, and I felt trapped in a dilemma. What should I do?-----------
Elaya felt torn between the eerie warning on the phone and Thywan's mysterious presence. The music continued to thump as she and her best friend contemplated how best to respond.
-----------
"How the hell can I trust him?" I whispered, my eyes on the phone. I felt weird and confused. "I mean, how the hell does he have my number?"
My best friend looked at me with concern. "Elaya, this is really strange. Maybe we should play it safe."As the two of us discussed, I glanced over to him again. His gaze was dark, and his expression showed annoyance. The distance between us seemed to heighten his impatience.
I couldn't bear the confusion and uncertainty anymore. "Why should I listen to you? Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?"
Thy's expression turned grim, and his voice became rough. "I already told you it's not safe. You're taking a reckless risk.""You have nothing to tell me!" I shouted into the phone frustrated, still keeping my eyes on him. However, it only seemed to anger him more But he was not the only one mad.
The argument between us grew louder, and I ignored the confused looks of the people around us. Our conversation turned into a heated exchange of angry words.
Thy seemed to be losing patience. "You're stubborn and reckless, Elaya. It will be your undoing."I felt anger boiling within me. "I can decide for myself what's safe for me and what's not! I don't know you, and you have no right to dictate to me."
The argument between us seemed to have no clear winner, but it had equally angered and stirred us both. In the loud environment of the club, our discussion was like a flaring fire, fueling the unresolved questions and secrets between us even more.Disappointment and anger mixed in me as I saw Thy walking away. I felt torn between the need for independence and my curiosity about the warning that still troubled me. What had stirred him up so much that he wouldn't relent?
My best friend gently placed her hand on my shoulder, trying to calm me down. "Elaya, let's go home. This is getting too risky."I nodded hesitantly and let her lead me towards the exit. Confusion, anger, and the unresolved questions raised by this strange evening battled within me.
As we left the club, I couldn't help but cast a last glance over my shoulder where Thy had disappeared. His words echoed in my head, and I felt torn between the fear of the unknown and the unquenchable curiosity burning within me.----------
Phew, that was intense... why was he so agitated and insistent? What do you think? What would you do in this situation ?
How do you find the story now? I appreciate constructive criticism 💞
