I woke up in the backseat of a car judging from what I can see in the rear-view mirror it look like my mustang, Ace’s olive tanned skin shinning in the rays of the sun I saw him smile as he sings along with one of the classic rock songs playing on the radio.
My whole life I was trained to hate vampire’s my father always told me they aren’t human have no humanity left are blood thirsty creatures but Ace seem just as much human as I am maybe even more than me.
“Wake waky sleepy head” he then look toward me
He looked tired and exhausted bangs under his eyes but his smile said otherwise
“Where are we” I asked in my sleepy voice putting my hand over my mouth instantly
“Mystic falls scar or well almost there”
“WHAT” I yelled at him I live in Australia what the fuck are we doing in American.
“Everything will be explained in time scar” he said while turning towards me revealing his perfect white teeth and fangs as he smirks at me.
For two hours no word were spoken as we drove into Mystic falls past the town there was a road leading up the hill we past long giant trees on the way up revealing a giant mansion sitting on top of the hill. Ace explain that behind it is a giant lake and it is his family home as he air quotes when he said family.
A giant gate were opened and closed behind us from the mountainside It looked as if most of the mansion was build out of wood and some type of stone it was beautiful a giant fountain in front of it I could count at least twelve exotic cards in the driveway. It felt like I went back in time and is now in the Victorian era again. Everything felt so foreign and out of time.
As Ace turned of the car he threw me the keys it hit me straight against my face I wanted to yell at him for laughing but decided against it at the last second. Ace had this serious look on his face he swallowed hard.
“Scar please don’t do anything wreck less and try to kill a vampire in here we live together both vampires and humans”
It sounded more like a thread than a warning I open my mouth to say something but he shhh me placing his finger on top of my lips.
