𖤐 CHAPTER 5

After Ace left my room I strip off all my clothes and got into a warm shower I close my eyes as the hot water drip over my sore muscles and newly added wounds. After I washed my hair and rinse it off I heard a whistle outside I froze as I saw a shadow walk past the shower curtain

“ace I whispered”

In a flirty tone Ace replied to me “yes scar”

“GET OUT” I yelled at him

“Why scar are you scared”

“I have a Razor blade and I’ll slash you” even through I didn’t have one I knew if he pulled the curtain open I’ll be to busy covering myself to do anything.

A part of we wanted him to step in and that part scared me he is a vampire at the end of the day a species I was raised to kill yet he seemed different in every way from your average vampire he seemed human.

I peek through the shower curtain making sure Ace isn’t there anymore I quickly dry myself with a towel and put on a pair of legging and a hoodie in one of the wardrobes I found vervain luckily in liquid form and I swallowed it. It taste bad I usually mix it with coffee but if its in your system vampires wont bite you and they cant use there compulsion and other mind tricks on you.

As I slowly creep down the stairs everyone looked at me as I make my way to the first floor I can’t see ace around fuck.

Draco motion for me to come join them at dinner. Wait please don’t tell me I’m dinner as I sit down I stare at my plate it smelled nice the most delightful roast chicken with some white sauce on it.

On my left was a girl I never saw before she had long blue hair and hazel eyes starring right at me Draco introduced her as jinxx she was holding a glass of wine wait no its to thick to be whine it blood.

I looked at her as she poor the thick red liquid in her mouth licking off her lips I saw a glimpse of her fangs. Anger overtake me as I grab my knife and focus on her in a swift movement I try to stab her neck but ace moved in front of me and I stab him in the stomach.

Realizing what I did my fight or flight senses kick in knowing I’m outnumbered I took off running upstairs to my room I grab a wooden stake and knife from my jacket and aim them towards the door whoever sets foot in here is going to be one dead vampire.

As the door open my heartbeat increases as I throw the knife ace caught it mid air and toss it to the ground.

“ Scar your almost as bad as jinxx was when she first arrived” my eyes widen with curiosity.

Ace pulled the knife from his stomach I can see the pain in his face in a blink of an eye he sat on the bed motion for me to join him.

He spoke in a foreign tone explaining to me Jinxx was human when she arrived here but she was driven by vengeance and revenge she got herself killed and Myrin had to turn her into a vampire.

I swallowed hard as I meet ace stare taking all my courage I said the only thing I could possibly think of “I’m sorry”

He laughter at me and shook his head. “This is going to take a long time to heal”

I motion for him to continue to my knowledge vampires heal quite fast if the have enough blood in there system.

Ace smirk at me as he explain to me he isn’t like other vampires while his mother was pregnant with him she got turned into a vampire and he is a hybrid between vampire and human he is faster and stronger than your average vampire he is still human he can enter someone’s house without being invited in and vervain doesn’t hurt him he can’t compel others and his body function on human food as long as he gets a few drop of blood a day in he is fine he said that the reason he can walk in the sun without being burned alive.

My eyes widen as my brain takes in the new information in a blink of an eye ace stood by the door winking at me “Good night scar”

Before I could say anything he was gone I rushed up locking my door and fell on the massive bed thinking I’ll get some sleep in I closed my eyes.
