CHAPTER 8 

"What?! Of course not!"

Agad kong tinangi ang sinabi ni manang. I was so nervous and scared. What if sabihan niya sina Dad at Mommy. Wait.. What if she already did! Shit! I was overthinking so much.

"Eh, bakit may ganyan ka? Suot mo rin" Sambit niya, crossing her arms on her chest.

"Manang, it was from a friend!" I said as an excuse.

That guy will never be a friend to me. I had no other excuse. Ano pa kaya ang sasabihin ko? That a random guy brought me to his condo? She'll get another wrong idea and it might make it worse.

"Friend daw. Hindi pa naman nakauwi si Lance sa araw na yon, ah"

"So? Hindi lang naman si Lance ang only guy friend ko."

"Suss. Hoy! Wag mong sabihin doon ka natulog sa kanila ha! Hindi ka umuwi ng gabing yon!" She exclaimed.

Fuck! Hindi ko na alam kung ano ang gagawin ko! I can't say yes because she'll obviously freak out. I can't also say no kasi I don't have another excuse.

"What! No!"

"Hay nako, Ali! Ewan ko na sayo" She shook her head.

"Manang, I swear I didn't do anything and nothing happened. I just borrowed these from a friend. Please wag mong sabihin kanila Dad at Mommy" I begged.

"Oh.. Siya, sige" She said.

"Thank You!" I hugged her.

"Saan ka pupunta?" Tanong niya when she saw what I was wearing.

"I'll just return this. We'll meet in a coffee shop" I said, holding the clothes up.

"Sige, Magingat ka ha. Kung hindi ka uuwi ngayong gabi at alam ko na kasama mo ay lalaki. Isusumbong kita" Pagbabanta niya.

"Oh my God! Yes, I promise to go home! Just don't tell Dad please!"

Nagpaalam na ako at pumunta sa garage. I chose to drive myself. Before driving off, I messaged him to inform him.

Agad siya nagseen and was already typing. The Hell! Was this guy always on the chat, waiting for me to message him or something?

harvin.ryuj: Alright.

He sent me the location afterwards. Napakunot ang noo ko when I placed the location sa Waze. It was another mountainous area. I'm not sure where but it was quite away from the city.

Where the hell is this guy taking me? Baka I might get kidnapped.

I shrugged and drove away. I wanted to listen to music so I turned on the Apple Carplay. I was about to open spotify but ang bumungad sa akin ay isang news article. I got curious and opened it since it had my name on it.

Anong issue na naman ba ang ginawa tungkol sa akin?

I immediately closed the article. I rolled my eyes after reading. Title pa lang nga ng article, nagsakit na ang ulo ko. People always make it an issue!

Can't 2 people just get out and eat outside? We were normal people too. I checked the socials and people started shipping us. Nahiya naman ako kay Josh and his girlfriend. Josh had a non-showbiz girlfriend!

I wasn't in the mood na tuloy. I tried to calm myself by listening to music but it wasn't helping that much.

I act like hindi ako affected in public but privately, I actually feel affected and bothered about it. It just annoys me na kahit sinong kasama ko na opposite gender, people would make an issue about it.
