Chapter 7: Comfort Skeleton

You opened your eyes and saw someone.

Someone.... familiar...

You were in a tunnel.. you think..You were digging.

For what...?....What were you digging for..?

Then... You saw him.

Burgundy red hair... Green and black, checkered haori...

And a kind smile.

He reached his hand out for me.

As you reached out as well to hold his hand.. ---

You woke up.

You were there, laying in the snow. Your hand reached out to the empty, hollow ceiling of rocks, ice, and snow.

Tears welled up in your eyes, a few of them falling down your pale skin and dripping down to the snow.

You could barely hear the slight sizzling sound it made as the warm tears made contact with the cold snow.

You could barely remember, you pushed the memory in the deepest part of your soul. Because you know, that if you remember, you'd go insane.

You pushed the memory back, deep enough not to remember... things. But reachable enough to feel the love.

The love of your treasured people. The love of your family. The love that keeps you sane.

You just need time. Time, so that it won't hurt as much once you remember it all again.

... Heh.

You know it's futile. You know it would hurt just as much.

But it's okay to hope right?

After all... you have nothing left to lose...

You sat on the snow with you knees on you chest, crying silently. Though your sobs seem to echo around you as well as your hiccups everytime you breath.

You didn't know how long you were in that position, probably just about a few minutes if you're guessing. You felt yourself getting lifted of the snowy ground.

You blink your eyes in surprise, causing a few drops of tears to flow down your eyelids.

You felt yourself getting put down again. This time on a cold metal.

You look up to see a big armored dog!

It barked. As it saw you look up at it.

Then you felt a fluffy warmth on you lap and saw a dog's head. His neck was really long. You followed were his neck connect and saw a body of an armored dog as well, but this one is smaller.

Another pair of paws were placed in you left arm. You looked down and saw another dog! It was a completely normal dog. No armors or long necks. Just a normal fluffy dog.

A small bark to you right caught you attention. It was yet another dog! This one is normal to. But it's the smallest out of all. It's head rubbed in your right arm and you pet it, causing its tail to wag happily.

You were surrounded by dog monsters.

It was warm. You remember being snuggled up like this before...

With a family you can't remember.

You spent your time snuggled up by monster dogs crying. The dogs never barked. Not even once as you weeped. They just layed by you sides.

You sniffled and wiped your nose with you sleeve. Just as you were about to wipe both the dried and wet tears in your eyes, a loud booming voice was heard.
