Athanasia walked out of her room , and made her way towards the garden . It was finally the day of her first ever party that she herself was hosting .

She was greeted with the sight of her entire garden decorated in pastel colours , all ready for the tea party . In a just a few short moments the guests had arrived .

All of the guests were young noble ladies near the age of Athanasia .

Athanasia greeted them all but one of them caught her eye , Jeanette Margarita . The female lead of Lovely Princess , her smile seemed almost contagious, it was easy to see as to how she was the main character .

But her behaviour towards the previous Athanasia wasn't amazing to say the least , that may have caused current Athy to have a grudge against her . But , Jeanette was completely clueless as to why the princess didn't like her . All the brown haired girl wanted was to have a family , and what was she was told that the princess and emperor were her family .

But she paid it no heed , thinking that she must have done something wrong for the princess to act like that .

The party started as the young ladies conversed with one other about recent topics happening in high society.

Heels clicked against the tiles of the hallway , making a rhythmic sound . She walked in long strides , covering the distance quite quickly. Ivory white fabric pooled behind her , her long hair open reaching up to her calves . Gold and blue embroidery ran along the length of her dress .

Aina clicked her tongue in annoyance ,she had to cross such a large distance to reach her palace .

She was returning from a meeting she had with Claude . The way he spoke , and how he avoided her gaze , creeped her out , he had never acted like this . It was a new thing , that she didn't particularly like . On top of her hating him , he know was behaving like a toddler .

As she was walking to the empress's palace , where she resided, a fully decorated garden caught her eye . Athanasia stayed in the Emerald palace , the place meant for the crown princess , the place was quite close to The empress palace .

She then remembered that Lucy had informed her that her little sister was hosting party. She thought about greeting the guests , but decided against it thinking that she would just make things awkward.

Claude sighed in frustration as he gripped his hair . He couldn't believe as to how he behaved during the meeting with Aina .

He normally wouldn't act like that , but these days whenever he saw Aina he would see an image of her late mother , Iris . Every time she turned around or clicked her tongue in frustration, he would get reminded of Iris . It wasn't like he loved Iris , he had only married her to calm down the nobles , and be able to rule over Obelia .

The nobles already didn't like him knowing that he himself killed the previous emperor, so in order to calm the raging state of his court , he married a princess of another empire . He knew this would satisfy the nobles , as Obelia then had a tie with a strong empire , and access to the military .

He hated how his mind was frustrated over someone so insignificant to him . He hadn't ever thought of Aina as his own daughter . According to him he had only one daughter and that was Athanasia.

Besides , even Aina herself never showed any sign that she wanted his love . To him she seemed content when he didn't notice her , so why was he noticing her now ?

Athanasia laughed and mingled with the young ladies . She was having an amazing time with them , she was glad that she hosted the tea party , she was happy to talk with someone other than Lily , Felix and Claude .

Just as she had gotten up to tour everyone her garden , a huge dark coloured wolf came running towards her . Everyone except Athy screamed in fear of their life as they ran away . But Athy didn't , instead she  got down on her knees and patted on her lap , for her precious pet blackie to come to her .

Everyone stared at her in shock as Blackie came towards her and and nuzzled his face in her lap .

Felix came running to Claude's study to inform him about the event that was happening currently.

He barged in without knocking, " Your highness ! Princess Athanasia's tea party has been attacked ."

While someone who knew about blackie wouldn't call it an attack , but felix was unaware so to him it was an attack that might harm the Princess's life .

Claude immediately got worried as to when he heard Felix's words . He stood up as he motioned Felix to come with him to the garden quickly .

I'm sorry for completely going offline for the past few weeks , an urgent family matter had come up so I wasn't able to write .
