- The seasons tarnish away,
winter blends into summer
and days turn into years.
The small girl grows up with the tree in her backyard
and blossoms as an adult.
She doesn't lock herself in her room anymore,
she doesn't think her poems are bad
and she learns to love herself
just the way she is.
Slowly, steadily,
she washes away the trauma she endured,
the pain she stored
and the resentment she held.
She learns to let go
and she learns to trust,
she learns to love
and she learns to accept.
she realizes that she is all she has
and that
she
is
enough.
