"How dare you break my favourite vase," Felix shouted as he pushed sunoo on the floor.
"I-I'm sorry ..." sunoo cried and he grabbed Felix's legs.
"This bitch! Don't touch me", Felix spoke and he kicked sunoo away from him. "Pls forgive me m-m-mom... I'm sorry"
"Ha? Mom? Why did you even call me that? You are not even my son... Fuck off!"
Felix spoke in a low voice, as he bent down to grab sunoo's collar.Tears followed down through sunoo's eyes. Felix chuckled," I'm going to have my son with your father! And he will inherit all the property... Not you..."
"I don't want the properties! You can take them, but I-I just want a FAMILY!" Sunoo cried out.
Felix paused for a second and stared at him. "Family? But... It's over for you! Because you do not have a mother" Felix stepped back and left the room.
"And don't call me mom!"
Sunoo was left alone in his room, surrounded by the hushed whispers of memories. The warmth of the sunlight streaming through the window seemed distant as he clutched a faded photograph of his late mother, Solar. Tears welled up in his eyes, each drop carrying the weight of a thousand untold stories.
He curled up in the corner, seeking solace in the embrace of solitude, the room echoing with the silent sobs that only the walls bore witness to.
"I miss you, mom..."

That evening~
"Young master... Dinner is ready" sunoo's maid called him. The maid's gentle voice called from downstairs, breaking the heavy silence, and Sunoo rose, momentarily unaware of the tears shed in the quiet of his room just hours before.
Sunoo joined his stepmother, Felix at the dining table, the air thick with unspoken tension. His gaze, usually cold and distant, met his briefly. An uneasy silence settled over them as they navigated the awkwardness that hung in the room like a heavy fog.
Felix brought a spoonful of soup near his mouth. He cast a disapproving glance at the food, his dissatisfaction palpable. The maid's efforts seemed to crumble under the weight of her scrutiny.
"Who made this?" Felix inquired giving a dead stare to one of their maids.
"U-umm she..." the maid pointed to the female, wearing an apron, standing near the door.
"Don't come here from now on" he spoke and left the table without eating anything.
Sunoo felt bad for her but he couldn't do anything, since he was afraid of his stepmom too. But he decided to finish the food on his plate and then he left the room.
------
Sunoo lay on his bed, his gaze fixated on the clock ticking away the seconds. The room, dimly lit, echoed with the distant sounds of the night. The anticipation weighed on him as he awaited his father's return. Each passing minute felt like an eternity, the silence broken only by the occasional distant rumble of a passing car.
As the hands of the clock inched closer to midnight, Sunoo's mind wandered, grappling with a mix of worry and longing. The soft glow of the bedside lamp painted shadows on the walls, casting a sombre mood. The distant sound of a door creaking open sent a shiver down Sunoo's spine, but it was only the wind playing tricks on his senses.
He sighed, turning his attention back to the clock, hoping for the reassuring sound of his father's footsteps to fill the empty spaces in the quiet room. The night held its secrets, and Sunoo clung to the hope that his father's return would bring a sense of comfort and connection amid the lonely hours.
His eyes were about to close when he heard his maid knocking on his door and said "Young master! Your father has returned." He jumped out of bed in excitement and ran towards his father's room.
He always knocked on the door and entered if his father, Hyunjin, answered. But this time his hands paused before knocking as he heard his parents talking about him inside.
"Do you think I should agree with Mr.Kim's marriage proposal?" Hyunjin spoke as he sat on the bed beside Felix.
"Yeah... Sure, moreover his son's an Alpha, also charming and rich. Perfect match." Felix replied as he hugged Hyunjin from behind.
"I know... But what if Sunoo doesn't-"
"He won't say anything! Just don't ask him! He doesn't have any right to disobey your decision. Get him married as soon as possible!"
"It will be so lonely without him..."
"Don't worry baby... You still have me... And we can *whispers*have babies. And I am willing to have one right now"
Both of them chuckled softly looking at each other. But, Tears welled up in Sunoo's eyes, unbidden and heavy. His hand trembled as it hovered near the doorknob, caught between the desire to understand and the fear of what lay on the other side.
He turned back and returned to his room. His tear-stained face a mask of determination, wiped away the evidence of his emotional turmoil. In the dim light of his room, he moved with a quiet urgency, pulling open drawers and stuffing his clothes into a bag. The rhythmic rustle of fabric echoed the tumultuous thoughts racing through his mind.
With a determined exhale, Sunoo approached his locker, fingers fumbling to retrieve the small reserve of money tucked away. Each bill seemed like a lifeline as he clutched them tightly, the tangible weight of independence grounding him amid uncertainty.
In the stillness of the room, Sunoo took a final glance at the space that held both memories and heartache. The decision made, he shouldered the bag and, with a deep breath, stepped into the night, leaving behind the echoes of his past and venturing into an unknown future.
