Chapter 25

"Wakasa-san, are you seeing what I am seeing?"

"I am. Was Nagi-chan.....always this strong?"

To even call what Shushu and Sahara were watching a fight would honestly be an overstatement. Right now, the fight was so one-sided, it was like watching a prey helplessly running to try and escape the predator. As Koko and Kuma were on the ground, battered and bruised, Nagisa simply stood in front of them with a neutral expression on his face.

"Get up, Koko. You said Kuma and yourself wanted to run wild, remember. You even have the perfect opponent to do that against."

"Shut up already!!!!"

Just like she did with Sahara, Koko began to wildly hurl punches at Nagisa. However, she was shocked to see the boy effortlessly dodging each strike. Just as she was about to throw another punch, Koko suddenly jumped away from Nagisa. Seeing this, Nagisa instantly turned around as he caught Kuma's right claw and slams the shuuki onto the ground.

"I can't help Aoba directly. Even if it's in name only, i'm still on the Anti-Demon Corps side. That's why, I need to see it Koko. The extent you are willing to go for Aoba. I need to know she is in good hands."

"Koko, you seem to be mistaken about something. It's not JUST you that will be wiped out if you don't stop me. Shushu, Sahara, we're going. I believe this is as far as Koko and that shuuki can go."

As Nagisa said this, he began to walk back towards the entrance of the hidden village. Shushu and Sahara followed him, still in shock in how easily he managed to handle Koko and Kuma. However, the two girls were shocked when Nagisa pushed them into the entrance of the village.

"Sorry you two, looks like they got their second wind."

Suddenly Nagisa jumped to the left to avoid being clawed by Kuma. The moment his feet touched the ground again, he was punched in the back by Koko as he sent flying back to Kuma. Seeing this, the shuuki clenched both of its claws together as it slammed them down onto Nagisa's chest as a crater formed underneath the boy upon impact.

"I don't care if you're the boss's friend. If you threaten to hurt her, I won't hesitate to beat you to a pulp. No matter how strong you are!!!!!"

".......that's good."

Koko's eyes widen in shock with what she saw next. Walking out of the crater was Nagisa as a small amount of blood escaped from his head. The moment he was slammed into the ground, one of the rocks had managed to cut a bit of his head. Other than that, the boy didn't even seem to be that fazed by the attack.

"What are y-"

"I can't help Aoba as much as I want to. Not as long as I am standing with the corps. That's why I need to know someone reliable is protecting her in my place for the time being. Thanks Koko, you passed with flying colors. However, those girls in the corps are also my friends. Sorry, but i'm gonna end this with one attack and regroup with them."

As Nagisa said this, he placed his right hand on the hilt of his katana. The air around him and his opponents grew tense as any shred of emotion was no longer on the boy's face. Koko and Kuma couldn't move. It wasn't due to an ability, it wasn't because of curiosity. The thing that held them in place was something every living creature felt.

"While I train so I can use the basics of Water Breathing with my bare hands.....I'll also work to improve Water Breathing when I use my blade."
