fraud? (very short chapter...)

shelby's pov:

"oh! Who's this?" a man with a lot of brown hair said. I'm surprised this man was even a high schooler....like cmon! he looked like a grown man. 

I sighed before speaking. "hello! I'm Shelby...I'm kinda new here!" I said. trying to sound as enthusiastic as I could. 

"oh! hello shelby! we weren't expecting to see anyone today!" he replied.

"ya got any gold Shelby?" a raspy-sounding boy said. the boy had blonde hair and very dark brown eyes. he looked like a grown man too!

what is it with kestrels looking like grown men? it's ridiculous!

"um-yeah my crown!" I got the crown out of the dirty clear backpack. the other kestrels looked at me in disgust. "what?" I asked.

"you actually keep your crown in there? in that dirty thing?" another blonde asked. the blonde was...british? I don't know he just had blue eyes.

"well-no I was forced! I came into this school and the principal forced me to!" I explained. I was not going to make a fool out of myself today! not on the first day and never!

they looked away in disgust. 

I sat down and showed them my very fake crown. "this is my crown! It's real gold yknow"

they all looked at each other. "who are you again?" the brown-haired boy asked.  "yknow your name is just slipping my mind every second!" 

"um- shelb-"

"Shelby, can you leave our table? I don't think we want a fraud at our table..." he cut me off rudely. 

a fraud? they called me a fraud?!? I'm not a fraud? Do they know about the fake gold?!? what? how? 

I'm not a fraud!...am I? 

i shook off that and left the table. I wanted to see how Saffrie was. 

so i waved at her. She didn't see my wave though. She was too busy with the principal and the authorities of the school.

I wanted to know what fraction she was in! 

she sounded fun!

I hoped she wasn't a nightingale though...they are very soft and just pussies... there was no way in hell she was one though.

she was everything BUT a pussy!

I had to find out what her fraction was after school though cause classes were starting- I still had no idea how they worked- but I figured out how to go to science class! that's a good thing, right?
