Landon finally confronts Hope about something that happened several months back.
Part 1 of chapter 2. The chapter was getting too long so I figured I'd split it in two. I hope you enjoy! Sorry if you're a Handon who hates the idea of Raf and Hope, but honestly... I'm going with what I've seen in the show when it comes to their character interactions.
But yes, I'm Handon all the way and this story will end with Handon.
PS: Should I put rated T, because I feel this chapter is heated up slightly. We'll see. I'll decide later. I'm 26, so emotional and physical intimacy is never lost in my stories.
•••••••
He could barely believe it; the woman he still loved was staring directly in his eyes without a hint of any hesitation as she proceeded to blame his insecurities, and the problems he caused as the reasons for their break-up. Landon could only blink in response, his lips parting and closing, blinking once again as if in a stupor. Clearing his throat, he muttered "oh, wow" and tossed his head back to laugh loudly, though he wasn't angry. Not…yet, more so he was amused.
Hope walked to her bed and took a seat silently.
"Yeah, no," He expressed incredulously. "How about," Landon chuckled, countering, flipping up a finger as if to list, "we discuss all the times you met up with Raf secretly?" He raised his eyebrows, "Let's discuss that. Tell me, what did you feel for my brother? Did you intend to meet him in the gym the very first day we began dating?" Landon didn't want to scoff. He didn't want to approach this in a nasty manner, but that sentence ran through his head once more and the absurdity, the pain and the absolute disgust he felt caused him to. "I'm sure you can remember it as the day you spent avoiding me entirely."
It felt cathartic to finally speak of this. Landon had chosen to bury how he felt about it for so long, feeling wary that mentioning it might cause her to think he was controlling. Raf had told him about the sparring, of course he did, and the unnecessary straddling, but he was afraid that telling her would've caused her to turn cold on him suddenly. He remembered Raf's exact words that night.
FLASHBACK
I need to tell you something, Lan. And before you get upset, know that I had nothing to do with it, okay."
"Your girl came into the gym earlier before we all fought the Oneiroi. She asked to spar so that she could stay awake, y'know—and I agreed, thinking it would be no big deal, ight. But she took me down by straddling me. Her thighs were spread apart around me for a good few seconds, fully clothed, obviously."
" You don't need to…describe it… I know what straddling is."
"Shortly after, I told her we couldn't spend time alone anymore. I swear, I would never… I didn't even flirt, except for that one dance, but"
" One dance?" Landon interjected.
"Her and I danced once before she got your signal from Louisiana. It had been a rough night for her. She had to kill zombies, man, and neither of us believed you were coming back. But Lan, I promise it wasn't dirty in any way."
"Well, I am back now, so…"
" That's why I told you, man. Again, she's your girl--I know that. I would never make a move, never, not even if you two broke up. We're brothers, man."

FanfictionSince I didn't like Hope slandering Landon in 3x03(thought it was ooc tbh), I'm writing a fix-it version because I feel Hope would have handled the situation(Landon using the letter from her dad for song lyrics) differently. Or If the writers could...
