...Sakura left the village with Sasuke? 💖

A/N : Tbh, I wouldn't have liked it if Sakura left with Sasuke cause she is the Sakura now because they were separated and she was motivated to get stronger both physically and mentally, but nothing wrong with little imagination right? So, here's the new update. Happy reading <3

A SAFE PLACE

He knew he loved her, but...not yet. First, he needed to avenge his clan. In the past years he tried to forget everything else and focus on getting stronger. He broke his bond with Naruto, Kakashi, and Konoha but Sakura was still there with him in every aspect of his life.

She supported him. She learned medical ninjutsu through Kabuto to treat his wounds after training. She took care of his diet to keep him healthy. She was there for him when he had a breakdown. He denied those feelings and tried not to let her in but he couldn't just ignore her or his feelings for her anymore. But he would keep it to himself until he defeats his brother. For now, they are just companions. She was his most trusted partner and the only friend he could rely on. She was his safe place.

Currently, they are searching trails of Itachi with Team Hebi. Including Sasuke and Sakura, there were Jugo, Suigetsu, and Karin on the team. They encountered Deidara and Sasori of the Akatuski recently. Though they managed to defeat the duo, their bodies were still recovering from the battles they fought.

The team found a place to rest. Sakura was patching up Sasuke's injuries. She'd treated all the major wounds now all he needed was to rest and recharge his chakra.

"Here we go," Sakura changed his bandages around his forehead. "How are you feeling now?"

"I'm better, don't worry too much," Sasuke replied stoically. He was stubborn as hell.

"You know I'm always going to worry about you, Sasuke," He knew that and he was grateful for everything she had done for him. Sometimes he felt guilty for bringing her with him to Orochimaru. Sakura was a pure soul and deserved better than everything he'd dragged her into. She never complained no matter how hard it became for her. He knew he was going to give her everything he could after all of this was over.

"You should rest now, you fought a battle too," The rest of the team had gone to their respective chambers to rest while she was still here taking care of him. "I'm fine Sasuke. It wasn't that bad anyway,"  That was a lie, she was poisoned in the battle. Fortunately, she managed to make an antidote in time.

"Sakura just go and rest, "He looked at her, she looked sad like something was bothering her. Was she missing Konoha? She often talked about Konoha and her friends, especially Naruto. "What the matter?"

"It's just that I'm having a bad feeling the past few days," She started, "I feel like something big is about to happen that's going to change everything."

"The future is unpredictable and especially in the lives we are living, you have to be ready to face anything that comes your way. You shouldn't be stressed by it."

"I know that but I have a bad feeling about this one, like it's going to be very bad. Sasuke right now we only have each other, and I don't want anything to ruin this," Her eyes were filled with tears. Sasuke was silent after that.

"Uhh.. I shouldn't be bothering you about that now. You should sleep and I'm going to rest too. Goodnight Sasuke," She left after that.

It was early in the morning the next day. Karin barged in and announced that she could sense some chakra of leaf ninjas.

"Everyone get ready, we're leaving. Jugo mark the map with the location of every Akatsuki hideout we know," Sasuke commanded. It must be Naruto and the others looking for them.
