Chapter 2: Recruiting Spongebob

[In Bikini Bottom]

"Ah, Bikini Bottom. A paradise on the ocean floor. Home to many undersea creatures living their lives in peace and tranquility."

SpongeBob Squarepants came outta his pineapple with his pet snail Gary.

"Good morning, Gary." he said, "What are we gonna do today?"

and Gary said, "Meow."

"Great idea!" said Spongebob. "Let's visit Patrick-"

Suddenly, he saw something.

"Citizens of Bikini Bottom. May I have your attention, please?" spoke a familiar voice from a loudspeaker, as a crowd of Bikini Bottomites gathered.

"I wonder what's going on?" Spongebob said to Gary, who meowed.

"From now on, I, Plankton, and the Syndicate, will rule Bikini Bottom." said the voice of Plankton via the loudspeaker, who laughed. "But I'm fair; I listen to the little people. Those of you who don't want me to rule, raise your hand."

Lots of the Bikini Bottomites raised their hands.

"Get them!"

Immediately, some funny-looking machines started sucking up all the Bikini Bottomites. SpongeBob hid behind his pineapple with Gary.

"Plankton can't do that to people!" he exclaimed. Then, he remembered something. "Oh, no!" he gasped. "If Plankton's in charge, he'll steal the Krabby Patty Formula, and shut down the Krusty Krab!"

Suddenly, a portal appeared, and out came Goddard.

"AAAARGH!" Spongebob screamed. "DON'T EAT ME!"

But Goddard didn't eat him. He opened up his screen, and played a transmission from Jimmy Neutron.

"Hello, SpongeBob." said Jimmy, "We haven't met, but believe me, I'm your friend. Plankton has joined forces with villains from other worlds, and with their help, he's taking over Bikini Bottom!"

This, of course was a lot of information for our little yellow spongey friend to take in. "Come on, SpongeBob, wake up!" he said. "Oh, I must've had too much ice cream last night!"

"I've been gathering information about your world and I know you've dealt with him before." Jimmy said via the transmission. "Please, SpongeBob, we need your help."

"Anyone else care to defy me?" Plankton's voice went through the loudspeaker.

"Okay, I'll do what I can to help!" said Spongebob.

"Follow my dog and he will lead you to me." said Jimmy. "I'll be able to tell you more when you get to my lab."

The transmission ended.

SpongeBob turned to his snail and said, "Gary! Stand guard and don't let them in! I'll be back soon."

Gary watched as Spongebob went through the portal after Goddard.
