Prince Ben?

When the car stopped I looked over to Jay and Carlos fighting over a curtain.

A curtain.

I heard the sound of the car door closing and realized they were in front of our door to the outside. I figured I'd save myself the embarrassment and get out on the other side of the car just as I heard the other door to us being opened. And right on cue Carlos and Jay immediately jumped out to spread out and get the drop on each other. I stood up calmly, ignoring the sounds of fighting and the stares from other students to glance around at what I could see of the school. 

I heard Evie and Mal escape the car, and then the sound around me got quiet as I looked out into the forest. I've never been in one and the urge to go in and hear what all the animals sounded like, find out how it feels to be surrounded by nature. Instead of looking at a picture or listening to my father explain what it's like to hunt, I could experience it on my own. 

I saw a figure in the corner of my vision and clued back into the world as it grew closer, it turned out to be the driver. "I'm sorry, I've never seen a forest before."

"I figured but Prince Ben is meeting the other villain kids you best get into line before someone notices you're missing," he smiled as he gently ushered me around the car into formation. He did one final look at us and nodded at me as I bowed in gratitude for him helping me before he got back in the limo and drove off. 

I looked ahead as a guy was making his way down the line shaking our hands. Evie had a pout on her face as she stared down the brunette next to the guy. 

"Ben and Audrey are going to show you all around and I'll see you tomorrow. The doors of wisdom are never shut. But the library hours are from 8 to 11. And as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews." An older lady porclaimed before heading off and taking the entire matching band with her, leaving us seven behind.

 Ben tried to shake Jay's hand as he spoke, "It is so, so, so good to finally meet," and found that Jay does 'bro' punches instead. He recovered nicely though "you all. This is a momentous occasion," he shook Carlos's hand that was covered in the dark, sugary food from the car ride. "One that I hope will go down in history," he looked down and tasted what was on his hand. 

Brave move for a hero kid. 

But he smiled and asked "Is that chocolate?", but he moved on when Calos just continued licking his hand free from the 'chocolate'. 

"As the two of our peoples began to heal," he continued while coming to stop in front of me. 

"You're speech is going great," I whispered, trying to give the guy a break.

Shockingly he smiled wider, "Thank you. Is it obivous I've been practicing?" 

I smiled back, "I don't think you want the answer to that truthfully." We shared a quick small laugh, before Audrey set her sights on me.

"You're Gaston's daughter aren't you?" She asked fakily with eye in her eyes she tried hiding behind the worst fake smile I've ever seen. 

I bowed my head a little with the reminder of him, "Yes mi-"

"Yeah, you must be the daughter of Sleeping Beauty." Mal cut in thankfully. 

"You're Maleficent's daughter, aren't you. Yeah, you know what? I totally do not blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff."

"And I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world but my mother to their stupid christening."

"Water underthe bridge."

"Totes!"

Ben looking between the three of us with confusion written on his every feature continued along, "Okay! So how about a tour? Yeah?" without waiting for any real response beyond stares he moved on into a courtyard with a statue. "Auradon prep, orginally build over 300 years ago and ocnverted into a high school by my father when he became king." 

He then clapped twice and the staute changed from the king to a beast, scaring Carlos and practically scarring me. Carlos hopped in Jay's arms and I screamed so loud Mal and Jay, with Carlos in his arms pushed me behind them in an effort ot protect me. 

Ben rasied his hands in a placating gesture trying soothing us "It's okay. My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us all that anything is possible." 

Carlos was dropped from Jay's arms but he and Mal kept me between them, not touching me to keep me from having a full panic during the tour. 

"So you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon? Like wands and things and things like that?" Mal tried to subtly probe about magic. 

Ben walking in the castle turned around to answer Mal's question Yeah,it exists of course, but it's pretty much retired. Most of us here are just ordinary mortals."

I smile, "Who just happen to be kings and queens."  

We share a smile befoe Audrey cuts in "That's true. Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years," she says while noving Ben's arm over her shoulder. 

Ben then notices someone coming down the stairs and moved out to them while calling out as well leaving Audrey stnading akwardly by herself. 

"This is Doug. He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms. " His focus then seemed to zero in on me "I'll see you later, okay? And if there is anything you need, feel free to-" 

"Ask Doug," Audrey cut in while getting between Ben and I. Then she dragged him away to do whatever royals do between classes. 

Doug then introduced himself and told us about some of our classes while showing everyone to their rooms. The boys bunked together and so did me and the girls. 

After making the room bearable for everyone we had abreak before meeting up later with the boys, Mal and Evie talked to each other while I went after Doug on his way out. 

"Doug!" he head turned towards me seemingly shocked I remembered his name. "Do you know where the cleaning supplies are?"

He had a confused face while telling me that they're in a closet in the bathroom so that the 'maids' don't have to carry everything all over the castle. 

I thanked him while he left then headed over to my bed and took a nap to prepare for the night and not worry too much about the school aspect. After all I had never been to one, but they probably know that here and are expecting me to be the maid for the villian kids so that no one else had to deal with our messes.
