(I can't believe this day has finally come.)

"Oh, Jason..."

(But these words are not for me.)

You look at the groom - your best friend, Kim Seokjin at the alter while confessing his feelings for his bride.

(There is so much love and affection in his eyes for Mia, but I wish they were at me.)

The beautiful music starts playing, and the bride and groom's vows are making you tear up, but not for the reasons they should.

(Jin has been my best friend since college, yet I've fallen for him deeply. I've always loved him, not as a friend, but it's too late to change things.)

"If anyone has any reasons to object to this blessed union, please speak now or forever hold your peace."

Mia glances around the church and giggles. Jin's gaze snaps to yours for just one moment, but it's there. And then he stares back at his beautiful bride.

(Of course, there are no objections. Jin and Mia are perfect together.)

You do your best not to let the tears fall down your cheeks.

I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"

As Jin and Mia make out at the alter, the ceremony is officially over, and you head outside with the rest of the guests. Emotional after the ceremony, you battle with the desire to stuff your face with food, get drunk, or leave altogether.

(This day can't get any worse for me. You know, fuck it, let's get drunk!)

You grab a glass of champagne and down it quickly.

"Hold that glass! I'm here with more booze."

You turn around to see your and Jin's friend, Namjoon, who approaches you with two full glasses of wine.

"It was a beautiful ceremony, wasn't it?"

"It sure was."

"The bartender recommended me this sweet red."

"Let me try."

"For the lovely couple!"

You don't share the same sentiment but cheer with Namjoon and drink up.

"I hope the bartender was cute because this wine isn't it."

"He is cute and straight. If you want to check him out, he is right across from us right now."

You follow Namjoon's gaze to see the bartender, who is indeed very cute, but you feel no emotions as you glance at him.

"Are you going to go talk to him?"

"Not in the mood."

Namjoon is about to comment on something just as the man of the hour approaches you.

(Ugh, not now.)

"Namjoon! Y/n!"

"Congrats on your wedding!"

Namjoon and Jin hug, then the latter turns to you.

"Did you like the ceremony?"

You swallow the wine hard.
