I need you more (luffy x nami)

Sweetest of Dreams

Few weeks past since we have left that island. Truly many things happened there, especially things between me and Luffy. We gave pickles to a trust-worthy person! The waitress that we saved at that restaurant, she was very kind and accepted to take in pickles. 

Nothing much happened after we sailed away from that island though. We aren't that much in need of any food or supplies and.. Luffy didn't really talk with me after we left the land. I don't think he is ignoring me but it hurts, Didn't that idiot say he loves me?! 

It hurts how bad Luffy is at showing affection and love. I try to be alone with him and I do so many attempts but it doesn't look like he is trying. The crew isn't helping much either. For some reason, I can never be alone with him. I don't want to burden robin with my problems anymore so I prevent myself from ranting to her about Luffy. I want to be independent.

I try to convince myself that I am just overthinking about this whole situation, but I can't help but cry my heart out in fear of rejection from Luffy. What if his feelings changed? That is a question I ask myself everyday ever since I felt Luffy was avoiding me.

I was basically daydreaming when suddenly I feel tiny soft hands on my hand which was laying on my lap. "Oh it is you chopper.." I say startled. "Luffy & everyone is having a party outside. Do you want to join?!" Chopper excitingly says, "mhm Of course, Let me get ready first." I mumble as chopper finds his way out of the room. I stand there in confusion as what to wear. I don't want to go outside in my normal PJ's . I search in the piles of clothes I have in my closet, I search and search even more and to my luck, I find cute black shorts then I take a random white t-shirt with drawings on it to wear. 

The outfit doesn't look too bad but the shirt is way too tight, I don't even remember buying this, must have been long ago. I guess it wouldn't really matter considering what I usually wear plus it looks cute. I go outside and as usual the party is noisy. shouting from here and there, I can't help but sigh. "OH Nami you finally came out" Luffy smiles at me  with cake smeared all around his mouth while chopper is trying to biting Luffy's head for eating the last piece of cake. I smile back at him and I mumble under my breath "Yeah.." . I slowly walk away to where Robin is sitting and I could feel Luffy staring at my back. I sounded mad and maybe I was because of the idea that I had that Luffy was ignoring me, but my response came out instinctively. I hope I didn't make Luffy mad though. I don't want things to end or worsen.

As I walk to Robin, "Why are you mad, Nami?" Robin asks. "Luffy. It is because of Luffy." I respond. "Why? What did he do to you?" Robin questions. "Well.. I just think he isn't trying" I whisper, "Huh?" Robin says. "I-" I was about to talk but then a ball hit my head.   "OWW" I turn around quickly with both hands on my head rubbing it. "WHAT ARE YOU IDIOTS DOING?!" I shout as Robin chuckles a bit. "SORRY NAMI!!" Usopp yells back. They were playing volleyball. 

Usopp, franky, chopper and Luffy. "Oh you are playing volleyball." I say in a low voice. "BUT STILL WATCH WHERE YOU THROW THE BALL YOU BASTARDS" I raise my voice, "WE ARE SORRY NAMI" Chopper and usopp say, afraid of me. I turn my head to the side and I say "ehh whatever, just don't make it happen again". I scoff, totally full of myself"NAMI COME JOIN US" Luffy says as he runs up to me, I stand there awkwardly as Luffy looks at me with those puppy eyes of his. I look back at robin for no reason with a stiff look on my face but she just gives me a reassuring look and says "Go do it, nami. I want to see you play." I give her an awkward smile back as Luffy pulls me by the hand. "You will be on our team nami!" chopper says. "Hey that is unfair!" Usopp yells, "Shishishi no, Nami will be with us" Luffy said. "MHM!" Chopper hums in agreement. "mhm You can take her, but you can't beat us. THE SUPERRR TEAM" Franky confidently says as he does his usual stance and sooner than later the game starts.
