Before Harry proposed to Ginny, he asked Ron's permission. Ron, of course, said yes, but that if he EVER hurt his sister he would kill Harry. Harry nodded, understanding that it was his sister and he loved her very much, and threw in that he would never ever even think about hurting her. What Harry did next, though, surprised Ron. He said that Ron better do the same- never even think about hurting Hermione, because Hermione was HIS sister, and because of this, he would have to kill Ron if he ever did hurt her.
