The night sky over the bustling city was a dark blanket speckled with twinkling lights. Tall buildings reached for the stars, their windows glowing with a warm, golden light. The moon, a pale crescent, hung low, casting a gentle glow over the streets below. The city never truly slept; cars hummed and lights flickered as people hurried about their business. Neon signs painted the sidewalks with vibrant colors, turning the streets into a lively, electric river.
Despite the constant motion, there was a certain quiet magic in the air. The distant chatter of people and the occasional honk of a car were like distant lullabies, lulling the city into its own kind of slumber.
There is a boy sat in his office, his gaze fixed on the night sky outside. His eyes were wide, and his face was thoughtful, like he was lost in a world of his own. The city lights twinkled below, but he paid them no mind.
He leaned against the window, his breath making a small fog on the glass. The stars above seemed to wink at him, as if sharing their own secrets. Glow of the moon added a touch of magic to the scene.
In that quiet moment, it was like the boy and the night sky were having their own special conversation. He was deep in thought, his mind wandering through the vastness of the universe. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only him and the infinite night sky, wrapped in a comforting silence. He took a deep breath to calm his racing heart, which paining because of some not so unknown reasons.
His solitary moment disturbed by a knock on his cabin's door. Without tearing his eyes from the sky he said, "Come in" loud enough to hear by the person behind the door.
"Sir, here is the files you asked for. I checked everything properly. You can go through it if you want." said his secretary Miss. Lee.
"Thank you Miss. Lee. Please put it on my desk I'll go through it one more time." He said still gazing at the sky deeply.
"Sir, are you not going to home now?"
"No, I need to finished the file today. You can leave now Miss. Lee it is getting late you should go to your home." he said sitting in his chair and open the file to check it. He does not want any kind of error in this file. The deal is really important to his company.
"But sir, ma'am told me to remind you that she wants you to go home a little early today."
Hearing this, his hand stopped. He totally forgot that he promised his mom that he would be at home early and would have dinner with her. His head snap toward his watch which was wrapped around his wrist beautifully and showing that it is already 10:45 PM.
"Shit.", he mumbled lowly under his breath. "She must be waiting for me. Thank you Miss. Lee for reminding me about this."
He grabbed his coat and his other stuff not forgetting about the important file he went out of his cabin hurriedly cursing himself for forgetting about his promise. Miss. Lee sighs looking at her fading boss figure.
