I Still Want you // Taekook

Chapter 3

The party was going on in full swing. Everyone was focusing on the couple. Lights were focused on the stage, where the couple of honors were standing and gave their respective speech about how their bond developed with the time of span 30 years and shared a few stories of their married life looking at each other with adoration and loved filled eyes. After that they cut the cake and fed each other.

After the cake cutting ceremony guest got busy with each other again, conversing about random things. Everyone present in the party enjoying the soft music playing in the background. Namjoon, Mingyu and Jungkook were having their drinks and talking about whatever happened in their life in the recent days.

“Jungkook, I heard you reject your date again. Why did you do that? You know he was a really good guy and he was even planning to ask you to be his boyfriend. Dude you missed a great guy.” Mingyu said to Jungkook whose smile disappeared on the mention of his date

“Mingyu, I’m really not interest in any relationship. I just want to focus on the company for now nothing else. And moreover I don’t thing falling in love is my thing. I’m not made for that. I don’t feel that kind of pull towards anyone.” Jungkook utter sipping his wine.

“Yeah yeah I have been listening to your same dialogue for almost six years. The only thing change is before you used to say you want to focus on your career and now it is your company.” Mingyu state his point. “Come on I want to see my best friend to be happy and have his own family. I wonder why you don’t have interest in love. I have never seen you making boyfriend. ”

“I don’t want to agree but Mingyu is kind of right. You should start to think about your future and try to date in real now. Not just because your parents want you to. This is the right time to think about your future. ” Namjoon explained his thought.

Jungkook just nodded his head. “Now how can I explain this to you hyung that my heart is being stubborn. It’s still not ready to give HIS place to someone else.” He thought in his mind.

Namjoon sighed looking at Jungkook. “Jungkook, I don’t want to force you to do anything but you should try for once. You will never know the aftermaths of something if you don’t try. It is not late you still have time. You always say that we should grab every chance we get because it might be the last time you are getting the opportunity.”

“Yes. Hyung is right Kook. You should take this seriously this time. And who knows you meet the love of your life in hyung’s parents anniversary. Just imagine what if your destined partner is present here.” Mingyu said.

Jungkook scoff at others non reasonable talks. “Mingyu, you should stop daydreaming. Do you really think I’ll meet anyone new here? I almost know everyone present here.” Jungkook said with a done face.

“Exactly ALMOST. There is always a possibility of everything. Maybe among those a few people you don’t know here is the one your heart desired for.” Mingyu said emphasizing a perticular word to prove his point.

“Even though Mingyu has point but let’s not talk about this now. Let’s enjoy the party for now and we will discuss about this matter later. Ok?” Namjoon said sensing Jungkook’s tense figure. The two younger nod their head on agreement.

“By the way hyung, how is Jin hyung and when will he come back from his trip?” Jungkook asked about his other hyung.

Kim Seokjin, known as Jin is a famous chef and owner of Hotel Paradise. He is one the most renounce chef in Korea. Jin is Namjoon’s long time boyfriend and soon to be fiancé. Jungkook met him through Namjoon and they instantly became friends. Jin always treats Jungkook like his younger brother. He would make different kind of dishes for Jungkook whenever the younger visit him.

“He is doing good and enjoying his vacation with his family. He sent me some-“

“Namjoon” the mentioned male got cut in the middle of his sentence by his dad. "I want you to meet the special guest of tonight" Mr. Kim told his son.

"Meet Mr. Kim Taehyung, CEO of Kim Groups and owner of K&J Company." Mr. Kim introduce the male standing beside him, dressed in a sleek grey suit. The well-tailored garment enhanced his broad shoulders and lean frame, giving him an air of confidence and sophistication. His crisp white shirt peeked through the suit's open collar, adding a touch of classic charm. The grey suit complemented his dark, wavy hair, which was neatly styled to perfection. His piercing dark brown eyes sparkled because of the reflection of the light. His whole demeanor screaming dominance and power.

"And he is my son Kim Namjoon." Mr. Kim introduce them as they shook their hands. "Meet Kim Mingyu, he is the next CEO of Enchant Entertainment." They greet eachother. Mingyu bow a little as a way to respect to the elder.

"And, meet Jeon Jungkook, The CEO of Jeon Enterprise." Mr. Kim introduced them smiling feeling proud looking at the young boy, who worked hard to get where he is now.

On the other hand Jungkook's bambi eyes were wide open in surprise. He couldn't even move from his place. He couldn't believe that he was standing in front of the person who was disturbing his thought for a few days. Not letting him breath properly. Here stood Kim Taehyung, his best friend, the person he fell in love with.

He didn't expect to meet Taehyung after six long years like this. Why they had to meet like this? In this party, in front of his friends? There was a flood of emotion inside of him. He didn't know how to feel about the situation. He was confused. One part of him wanted to run to his Taehyungie and hug him till his heartbeat came to its normal rate, till he get the assurance that he wasn't dreaming. But at the same time another part of him wanted to run far away from there, not wanting to stay anywhere near the person in front him. He wanted to disappear from there. He can't take the pain he was feeling in his heart. This was the same reason why he left in past too. Because he wasn't able to handle the pain of not having the person he loved with everything.

Jungkook's trance got broken by a ocean deep voice, which he can recognize even in crowd.  The voice which holds the power to calm his uneven heartbeat, which can sooth his every pain. But today it is doing totally opposite. He heard the voice saying

"Hello, Mr. Jeon Jungkook. Nice to meet you."
