I Still Want you // Taekook

Chapter 2

The Jeon family reached at Kim mansion after driving for a few minutes. The soft music that playing in the party could be heard from the outside. They headed toward the main door. But Jungkook’s feet stop on its track. His heart suddenly started to beating in an uncontrollable rhythm. Here he goes again feeling that similar uneasiness.

“Kook, KOOK! What happened where are you lost? Why did you stop suddenly? Are you ok? You are sweating.” His dad’s voice brought him back from his thoughts.

“I’m ok dad. Let’s go inside dad.”

“Are you sure? You don’t look good to me”

“I’m fine that don’t worry dad. It might be because of the weather. Now let’s go if you don’t want mom to come here to get us”

They both chuckled at the statement and went to Mrs. Jeon, who is waiting for them at a distance.

The Anniversary party was sparkled with beautiful decoration that made the room like a magical celebration. In the center of the room, there was a stage where balloons in shade of golden and silver tied with shinny white ribbon were decorated in a crescent shape. In middle of the shape there was written “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY” adorned with lights. The fairy lights in the wall were shining like stars casting a cozy and warm glow.

With the gathering of the friends and family, the room filled with laughter and happiness. Everyone was dressed in their best outfit and there was a friendly atmosphere. The soft music playing in the background creating a pleasant atmosphere.

In the stage, there was a table where a beautifully made cake was placed. It was a four tier white cake, adorned with various edible flowers, delicate icing patterns with white icing. It was a masterpiece, perfectly suiting the decoration of the room.

The Kim couple was standing on the stage where the guests were congratulating them on their 29th anniversary. The couple was wearing elegant dress and the both dress were matching with each other. The Jeon family went to the Kim to congratulate them.

“Happy anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Kim.”

“Thank you so much for coming. Where is Jungkook? He didn’t come?”

“Aunty, I’m here.” Jungkook answered coming towards the couple. “Happy Anniversary Uncle and Aunt” Jungkook forward the bouquet he brought for Mrs. Kim and a bottle of Romanée-Conti to Mr. Kim.

“Thank you kookie. These are my favorite flower. And thank you for coming. It’s been a while you come to meet me.”

“My apologies aunty. I was busy for a few weeks because of an important deal.”

“It’s ok. Namjoon told me about it. Congratulation on your success Jungkook you did really good job. I’m proud of you.”

“Thank you Uncle. Where is Namjoon hyung?”

“Oh! He was talking to some guest. Yeah there he is.” Mrs. Kim said looking for her son.

“Thank you aunty. I’m going to Namjoon hyung mom. Call me if you need anything”

Jungkook went towards Namjoon was talking to a business partner. He was wearing a blue suit with white shirt and a blue tie. His hair was combed back revealing his forehead, looking extremely handsome.

“Hyung” Namjoon turned to Jungkook with his smile showing his dimples.

“Kook, hey. When did you come? It’s really nice to see you here. Thank you for coming on my request.”

“I just came a few minutes ago. And you don’t have to say thank you.”

“Come let’s go and meet Mingyu. He has been eating my head asking about you.”

Jungkook smiled hearing his friend name. It’s been two weeks he couldn’t meet his friends and spent some time with them. He was feeling a little refresh now after completing his deal. He was really looking forward to spend some time with his over energetic friend.

They went to the bar where a man who was wearing a black colour suit with a black colour shirt underneath it, his hair was neatly combed a few strand of hair falling on his forehead, was seating, having his wine while talking to someone.

"Mingyu, can we have the honour of talking to you" Namjoon exclaim. Mingyu turned to Namjoon and was about to whine for the disturbance he created in his sweet talk. But upon seeing Jungkook with his done expression, he couldn't stop himself and went to hug his bestfriend whom he missed and worried about.

"Argh!!! Mingyu, are you trying to kill me or what? Leave me I can't breath you idiot." Jungkook said trying to escape from the bone crushing hug.

"Oh my god. Kook I missed you so much. Do you even have any idea how much? You didn't reply my messages nor receive my calls. Did you not miss me?" Mingyu complained being offend how his bestfriend ignore him.

"No, I didn't" Jungkook reply with a straight face. Whereas Mingyu was taken aback by the reply. He wasn't expecting this. Was jungkook serious?

Jungkook and Namjoon burst out laughing at Mingyu's reaction. They couldn't help but laugh at their dramatic friend.

"Yah!! Don't laugh. It's not funny. Stop laughing." Mingyu said getting offended. But that couldn't make the other two from laughing. Jungkook was laughing flashing his bunny smile, feeling content.

Not knowing the event going to take place in the party which was capable of turning his world upside down. How his past was ready to hunt him down like predator. How he going to come across the person, he once desired to have as his. And how the meeting will either make his life bloom with love or make it worse and shatter him for forever.
