Dinner went great and I was in my car on my way back home when I got a call from daisy

"Hello? What's up D" I asked... there was an awkward moment of silence before she said

"Hey, you think you can come over.."

I glanced at my watch to check the time
It was about 9:50 going on ten

"I guess, sure!" I shrugged before making a u-turn and heading towards her house..

Then she hung up the phone... that was weird I though before I yawned.

I really didn't feel like driving, especially when I had about two cups of wine but
Daisy needs me I suppose.

About five minutes later I pulled up into her drive way

And got out the car and locked the door, as I got near the door I saw daisy open it.. she must have saw me pull up on her ring camera I thought as I waved to her

Once I got close enough she moved over so I could walk inside

"What's wrong?" I asked
Nothing..

She just closed the door and went to go sit on the couch and gestured for me to join her

This is really starting to freak me out a bit
I thought to myself

"I saw you.." she started " what do you mean you saw me?" I asked scared and confused and anxious about what she was gonna say next.

"I saw you at the sunset restaurant, with that boy.. the villain.."

My heart started pounding and could have swore it was going to pop right on out of my chest at that very moment

"I-i.." I studderd

"So it's true.. you were on a date with the enemy?!" She asked

I sighed and looked at the ground because it was suddenly interesting

"Yes.."

I said ashamed "Barbara, why are you going on dates with this man? You and I both know he's bad news.. we both went to go fight to take that battery back from them!" She told me

"I know, trust me I know.. but I.. well you see, I am just using him so he can tell me his plans!" I said with a smirk

What did you want me to do, I didn't have a real bright reason to actually be going on Dates with him and had to make up some sort of lie..

"Wait, what!.. really?!" She asked surprised

I just chuckled and smiled before crossing my arms "duh, now he thinks that I like him and pretty soon, he will tell me all we need to know" I said with a confident look

"Wow Barbie, you're a genius!" She smiled as she slow clapped at my made up plan

I yawned before checking my watch once again..

"Well Daisy, as much as I would love to stay and hang around.. I gotta go let taffy out before she uses the bathroom on my fresh cleaned floor"

I told her as I stood up and stretched really quick..

"Alright.. let me walk you to your car.." she offered as she herself stood up and walked over to the door.

On my way home my mind was racing.. lying is never a good thing.. and here I was lying and possibly doing something wrong

But I did know this wasn't a great idea, however I just can't stop

As I was at a stop light my phone lit up... it was a message from ken.. I  quickly glanced at my phone to see what he said

'Had a great time tonight per usual, just made it home.. get some sleep.'

The message read...All I could do is smiled.. I would have replied but the light turned green..

A little while later, I finally got home and let taffy out before replying

'Same. Have a good night 🫡' I texted him back

Once taffy was done with her business
I feed the pets

Before I walked upstairs to change and got in my bed.
