We had one job.. I thought as we drove back to the agency.. I keep letting him get in the way of my missons.. why?!

Whether if I was working alongside of Zoe or my friends he always seems to be there... and now this time I let him get that gem..

I've delt with them before.. when they tried to steal that battery, why would they need a gem.. unless that gem was more powerful than we think?

But why would it be in the hands of a l-

"Barbie?!.. did you hear what I said" Patricia shook my shoulders

"Uh, I'm sorry no.. what did you say?!" I asked as I lifted an eyebrow

"That were five minutes away.. everything good.. how are you feeling" she looked at me concerned

"I'm fine.."

I tried to say a calmly and collected as possible

"Alright.. whatever happened to the dude who held you at gun point?" She asked me

"Well what do you think happened.. I had to fight him off.." I rolled my eyes playfully and smiled

Everyone smiled, I guess their all happy I'll live to see another day.. but once we made it to the agency we all got out of the car

The great thing about Patricia taking over.. Is I don't have to hear it from zoe.. poor pat

I went into the disguise room and picked up my clothes and walked into the bathroom

As I was taking the borrowed dress off a small note slipped from the pocket

It was an address and a time..
There was no guessing as to whom this was from

I changed my clothes and clocked out for the night before heading to this address. It was Ken's apartment building..

"Hello..? Hello, anyone-" before I knew it I was kicked against a brick wall

"Ugh!" I grunted as I tried to stand and looked up

" I thought I told you to stay away from him.."

"What are you even talking about.. I don't know you and last time I checked.. you can't tell me who I, a grown woman.. needs to stay away from!"

"You little brat" she swung a punch at me

I shifted alittle and she punced the brick wall

"Argh" she yelp in pain

I took my knee to her chin with force, pushing her back in the process

"You lack proper form.. attack way to quickly.. you think you can't get hurt.." I said before kneeling down

Before I could say anything eles she quickly got into the spilts knocking me over like a bowling pin

"And you.. don't understand the element of surprise.. to naive to know if something is real or a trap."

Then she took a gun from out of her pocket and clicked the safety off

"And you talk to much.. but since Ken can't get rid of you.. I'll have to do it myself " she pointed the gun at my face

I could move.. I was frozen
Before I could say anything

Genesis was pushed hard
"What the hell are you doing?!" Ken shouted at her

"Doing what you should have did months ago!" She said fixing her aim woth the gun back on me

With one quick move he disarmed her and held the gun towards her

"K-ken.. what.. you're gonna dump your friend over some girl.. not to mention the enemy!" She asked while she was shocked

"Look, when we're not working.. I'm allowed to have whatever life or friends I want.. she may be the enemy when we're working.. but she's my friend. So back off Genesis "

Tears formed in her eyes before she ran away.. he removed the ammo from the gun before putting it on the floor

He came down to my level and helped me up

"Are you okay.. how are you feeling.." He asked

"Like I wanna kiss you" was all I can say
Before we just stared at eachother both of our eyes locked

And with a stare of conformation.. thats just what happened.. I kissed him.

Hehe, so I haven't updated this story in a while so I'm gonna just go ahead and do that. Sorry for it being so short. 😅
