A girl with long red hair walked in. She had an eye patch covering her left eye, and she was wearing a formal dress. The girl looked over at Jessi and Kazuki, then bowed.
"Ms. Kichiro. It's nice to meet you. My name is Konya Kazuhiko. I'll be the detective that will solve this case. Now, I have brought my things so I could stay for the next couple of weeks. Now, if you two may leave, I will check this whole room for any type of clues that can tie us to this murder mystery. Later, I will question you and everybody else that was in this house at the time."
Jessi stopped hugging Kazuki and stood up. She instantly bowed.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Kazuhiko. I never thought I would meet you in person."
Kazuki was stuck staring at his father's head.
"That's his father?"
"Yeah." Jessi nodded.
"I see. Amachi, please remove him from this room. Jessi, you may leave as well. I will get right to work." She said.
Amachi walked over to Kazuki and picked him up. She carried him out of the room along with Jessi. Right as the door shut, Konya dropped her briefcase. She opened it up and pulled out some type of device. She threw it in the middle of the room and a long string came out of the top. The string flew to the ceiling and attached itself. The device started to lift and stopped about halfway. Another long string came out of the bottom of the device and dropped to the floor. It attached to it, and now the device was being held tight in the middle. Konya pulled out a remote and pressed a couple of buttons, and the machine turned on. It started to spin and a blue light came out from one of the sides. It spun and scanned the room. It was looking for anything that could be some type of fingerprint. None.
"Of course," Konya said. "The murderer used gloves. From the position of the blood, it looked like they rushed in and stabbed the man. The man fell to the ground and the killer pulled out a gun and shot him in the head. The small hole on the floor and the hole in the man's head prove that. A woman was most likely sitting on the bed while this happened. She screamed which alerted one of the maids to run over to the room. The killer was smart though and locked the door. The woman kept screaming as she grabbed the nearby phone."
Konya walked over to the bed and looked at the bloody phone.
"She attempted to call 119, but the killer shot her hand off before she could finish dialing the number." Konya looked at the hand on the bed. She noticed the ring.
"She must be married to the man. Maybe the killer is a jealous ex...? Nah, I doubt it." She looked back at the head.
"This man is too old to have any jealous exes. Ugly too..." She walked over to the wall that was covered in blood. "Fake blood."
She rubbed her finger against the wall, then licked the liquid off.
"Very fake. Something you would get from the Halloween stores." She walked over to the torso. "The organs on the floor are fake. Not something that you would see from an average Halloween store though. The killer must have bought this from an experienced artist. They were good enough to make real-looking organs. The torso is real. That means whoever the killer is, probably took the organs and stored them somewhere. Maybe to sell them on the black market for some good cash. Possible that the killer is poor, or just crazy about money. A rich spoiled person, or a poor desperate person."
She looked at the door.
"Bloodstain. The door is kind of busted up. Judging from the placement of the blood on the floor, the mother rushed at the killer in an attempt to harm them. The killer tried to slash at the mother, but she managed to stop that from happening. The killer dropped the knife, and the mother picked it up. She cut the killer's arm, and blood splattered onto the side of the door. The killer backed up into the door. The door was dented a little bit. They grabbed a blindfold and kicked the mother to the ground. They snapped the mom's arms off, which you can tell from the two severed arms on the floor. The killer then blindfolded the mother and escaped through..." She looked up at the top corner of the room. "The vent. The killer shot the vent open, then somehow managed to climb up there."
Konya looked at the dresser.
"The killer pushed the dresser under the vent, then used it to climb into it. This is not the killer's first time." Konya pressed buttons on the remote, and the device's strings retracted back into it.
She walked over to the device and picked it up, then walked over
to the briefcase so she could put it back. Konya stood back up and opened the door.
"Time for some questioning." She said.
Konya sat down on a chair and looked at Kazuki. They were both in a dark room and a lamp was on the table, lighting up just enough so Konya and Kazuki were visible.
"Creepy, huh? I wanted to imitate a classic movie interrogation. Especially since you love movies. Specifically horror movies, correct?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Your favorite movie is Blood and Black Lace, correct."
"Yes ma'am."
"Your favorite TV show is Barry, correct?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Your favorite book is And Then There Were None, correct?""Yes ma'am."
"So as you can tell, I know enough about you. Don't even try to lie to me. I can tell if you're lying. Question 1, where were you during the murder?"
"I don't know when it happened, so I was either in my room or Jessi's room."
"What were you doing in her room?"
"Looking."
"For?""Nothing really. She said she had a big bed so I wanted to see it."
"Ah. Didn't know you were a pervert."
"She said she had a massive bed and I wanted to see. I come from the poor part of Floln city. I've never seen a massive bed before.
"Ah. Makes sense. So what did you and Jessi do the whole time you were in her room?"
"Well, she left for an hour. I just stared at the giant chandelier hanging from her ceiling."
"Where did she go?"
"I have no clue. She said she needed to help her mom out with something."
"Interesting. Do you think maybe she committed the crime?"
"Why would she do that?"
"Think about it. This rich girl just randomly shows up to you and offers a home. A rich home. You have no clue why she did it. It's a very nice home. A home in the middle of nowhere where it would take forever for the police to get to. The one place a crime is least expected to happen is due to her family's position. This mystery girl leaves for an hour and after she returns, your dad is found dead and your mom is missing both arms. Seems suspicious right?"
"Well yeah, but-"
"That will be all. You may be excused."
"That's it?"
"That's it." Konya stood up. "The door is over there." She pointed at the door.
Kazuki walked over to the door and exited the room.
