                Chapter 5: Progress

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[ The following Morning ]
The morning sun rose like nothing happened last night. Silence fell in the palace again.
King Valdemar, precious to the court and it's people, was still in bed. Fast asleep till the sun became blinding from his open balcony.
He stifled a growl under his plush of pillows, turning away from it even but yet he had to get up sooner or later.
His doors opened afer two knocks, his real sore strolling into his chambers and stood a few feet away from his bed.
Very wise Vaayn.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I'm fine." Valdemar grumbled. "Those bastards. What did you do with them?"
"Their in the dungeon." He answered back.
Valdemar seethed, skinning his canine in show only to sizzle and die out his flame to calm down. "I'll deal with them..later.."
Vaayn hums. "I was about to say the same. Also..Prince Lixue wants to see you."
Valdemar tsked. "Tell him to not come near me."
"Unnecessary, unfortunately." Vaayn said.
Valdemar was about to retaliate for him to keep Lixue away from him. Plus why does he want to see him?? But that would have gone to deaf ears since Lixue was already coming into his chambers.
Dressed in pants, croseted by his waist. White seethrough cloth from off the corset reached to the floor and flowed as he walked.
High collar blouse top, his chest region held a large whole, showing off his skin. Even his shoulders got some show. And again, that damned face veil.
Lixue held a tray, bowing before the King. "King Valdemar," He straightened. "I see your awake."
Valdemar watched him closely, narrowing his eyes in response before his verbal.
"Vaayn. Leave us."
Vaayn watched between the two, back to Valdemar then at Lixue who gave him a petite smile. He gave up on any objections and nods his head.
"As you wish."
They were now alone in the room. Their eyes didn't look away from one another, silently trying to figure out the other's intentions.
When the silent space grew to much, Lixue initiated the first conversation.
"Are you feeling well now?"
Valdemar scowled, looking at his own body and up and down Lixue's. "I'm a dragon. Why is everyone asking that?"
Lixue moved closer, placing the tray down. "Because you were injured and ontop of that intoxicated with something."
"Intoxicated?"
Lixue held his both hands at the front of him and watched Valdemar. "I'll keep silent."
"No, keep talking." He demanded, his jawline squeezed tight. Lixue narrowed his own eye muscles. "I was told not to."
"By who?"
"My own intuition."
Valdemar hissed. "You are infuriating!
Anyways, why are you even here?!" Valdemar flew his hands up and got up off the bed. "Aren't you supposed to be away from me and ignoring me?"
