Third Person
The weather had gotten colder as the days went by. Dipper has gotten more comfortable being himself here. It has been a few weeks and everything has been good for everyone. The classes were canceled because today they were having company from another kingdom. Everything was being prepared for the event and Tad wanted everything to be perfect since they needed the use of their docks. Tad knew about the kingdom's history and rejecting other kingdoms from using their docks.
"The Western Fairy kingdom," The servant announced.
Dipper was quite excited when he heard the servant announce which kingdom was coming. He had never meant royal fairies before, but he realized that he has never meant any human sized fairy until he came here. They all stood up and went to introduce themselves to the whole family that came to the demon kingdom.
When the fairy family came in they all looked in amazement when they saw Dipper. He noticed the staring and quickly felt anxious. They had a six year old daughter and a sixteen year old son by the Queen's side.
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance," Tad smiled, "My name is Tad Strange."
"The pleasure is all mine," Matthew greeted back, "Matthew Willows."
"These two are my nephew's Bill and William," Tad introduced his boys first, "The third prince is a visitor from a different kingdom whose name is Dipper."
"It is a pleasure to meet you," Bill, Will, and Dipper said.
"This is my wife Clara, my eldest son Christopher and my youngest daughter Ella," Matthew introduced his family.
Tad noticed how the whole family kept staring at Dipper, "Is something the matter?"
Matthew cleared his throat, "Nothing is the matter."
Christopher cleared his throat, "Those wings haven't been around for over a century now... No royal fairy possesses those traits anymore."Dipper felt sick to his stomach when he heard that he was the only one left with this trait. Then he started to think about the wild fairies that he had seen for years and realized none of them had his fairy wings either.
"I see," Tad said, "While we talk about business the children will be put into another room."
"That is fine," Clara said. They were led into a room a few doors down where there was tea and snacks set up for them. Will poured tea for Christopher and Ella. Ella wasn't interested in the tea and sat on the ground in front of Dipper with her teddy bear.
For an hour they all talked to each other with simple small talk. None of them knew what to say to each other after an hour of simple conversation.
"Big brother," Ella said, "I'm warm."
"Take off your cloak," Christopher told her.
"What if I become cold?" Ella asked.
"Then put it back on," Christopher said.
Ella took off the cloak and gave it to Christopher, "Here you are."
"Thank you," He said. Her wings were broken just like Tessa. Dipper didn't comment on them and neither did the twins.
Ella turned to Dipper and held up her bear, "Do you want to play with me?"
"I would love to," Dipper smiled.Dipper sat down on the ground with her and began to play.
"What is your favorite story?" Dipper asked, wanting to get to know her.
"Not this question," Christopher groaned.
"What is wrong with that question?" Will asked him.
"It's true and it's not a story," Ella pouted.
"It is a wise tale," Christopher said.
"No it is not!" Ella shouted.
"What is this story?" Dipper asked him.
"My mother and grandfather believed that there will be a fairy and that fairy will be blessed with the gift of the stars. This fairy is a powerful creature that can turn into any creature it pleases including other fairy species, but they must be born a fairy before all the other things are true. They believe once the fairy is born that everything will change for the better," Christopher explained, "It's make believe and there is no way a fairy like that will ever exist."
"It is true," Ella crossed her arms, "The fairy will come and he'll visit me and fix my wings."
"My mother told her that story to make her feel better after our kingdom was attacked during the rebirth festival last year." Christopher said.
"Don't cry," Dipper picked up Ella and hugged her.
"Don't be upset," Christopher said, "I didn't mean to-"
"It's not that!" Ella snapped, "My wings hurt."Dipper knew that pain well. Ella cried on his shoulder as he patted her back saying that everything was going to be okay.
"Some fairies loose complete feeling in their wings when they're torn off, but some don't and sometimes out of nowhere these sharp pains come in. The feel is awful and it can come from there lower and upper parts of the back and even the neck," Dipper explained.
"That must be awful," Bill said.
"I can help," Dipper smiled at her, "Trust me and you'll feel all better."Christopher dropped his tea cup on the floor when he saw Dipper's wings change color and pattern. Ella started to feel better as Dipper stopped the pain from happening and he whispered in her ear.
"Stories your mother tells you are right."
Ella's eyes widened when she felt her wings flap.
She looked at Dipper with a large smile, "The stories are true!"
"The wild fairies told me a story like that once," Dipper fixed her hair, "They think of me of a star itself rather than being blessed by one."
"Can you turn into a turtle duck?" Ella asked.
"I've only seen those creatures from my books so I cannot," Dipper answered.
"But you'll be so tiny and cute," Ella said.
"My powers do not work like that," Dipper told her, "I can't fully turn into the creature, but I do obtain some of their features."
"You can?" Will asked.
"I've done it before, but sometimes I can't really control it and at times I can," Dipper explained as Ella asked him so many questions.
"I thought you could only turn into other fairies?" Bill asked.
"You two never asked if I could turn into other things," Dipper told them.
"We thought it was rude," Will said.
"Hahaha, it's only rude if you treat it as such," Dipper chuckled.
"We should probably call a servant to clean that up," Bill said, "The tea cup broke."
"I'll fetch someone," Dipper said.
"No, stay," Ella pleaded, "I have so many quesions."
"I will answer them soon, but not right now," Dipper said.Dipper went to get someone to clean the broken tea cup. Christopher was still in shock while Ella asked the twins questions to see if they could answer them. Most of their answers were, I don't know.
Dipper returned with a servant and they cleaned it up quickly. When Dipper sat back down Ella climbed on his lap and started to ramble to him. They heard the door open and they saw Maybell open it.
"Children, it is time to come back to the room," Maybell smiled.
They all followed Maybell to the room. Ella kept asking questions and Dipper answered them as best as he could. Maybell led them into the room and Tad looked somewhat defeated since he couldn't come up with a deal with them.
Matthew stared at Dipper aggressively before asking, "Are you a Necromancer?"
Dipper turned his wings back to normal, "Now I am."
A large smile went on Clara's face, "HA! I knew the stories were true!"
"What stories?" Tad questioned.
"We will explain it later," Will told Tad.
"Look father," Ella spun around to show him her wings, "He fixed me just like the stories said he would."
"What can we do to repay you?" Clara asked Dipper.
"Let the demon kingdom use your docks," Dipper said, "Maybe he can offer you lower prices for some goods."Maybell nodded at Tad saying it was a good deal. King Matthew and Queen Clara looked at each other before agreeing to the terms. Tad was excited and quickly wrote their agreements on a piece of paper before having them look over it and signing it.
They soon left the kingdom. Tad held the contract in glee as he turned around to the twins and Dipper. He saw how Bill had picked him up and spun him around while Dipper chuckled in his arms. When he was placed down Will gave him a hug and then patted his back.
"You didn't have to do that, you know?" Tad said.
"It was my pleasure," Dipper said, "You've done so much for me and it wasn't a bother."
"We will celebrate tonight," Tad smiled.
"Really?" Bill and Will said.
"Of course!" Tad said
