Jermaine and I have been avoiding each other ever since the conflict that started between us on Monday. Whitley mentioned it's typical for newly engaged couples to experience disagreements. She even mentioned that they still have their fair share of disagreements when it comes to wedding planning, so I should prepare myself for similar situations.

Given that I have a set of keys to Jermaine's apartment, I decided to take advantage of that privilege tonight. After a long day working at the hair salon, I made my way to his place. It had been three months since he had given me the key, and during that time, I had kept some of my belongings there.

Knowing that one of his teammates was celebrating their birthday, I figured that Jermaine wouldn't be home. Upon arriving at his apartment, his car was in the driveway. More likely he's planning on drinking which is why he probably left his car.

I took the opportunity to relax and unwind by taking a relaxing bath. After drying off and slipping into my comfortable nightwear, I headed to the kitchen and prepared a pizza in case he's hungry when he arrives home.

As the enticing aroma of the pizza filled the apartment, I retrieved the stack of wedding magazines I had brought along with me. Nestling into the plush cushions of the couch, I began flipping through the pages filled with bridal, fashion, and decor ideas. With a pen in hand, I made note of the ideas that particularly caught my eye, envisioning how they could potentially be incorporated into our own wedding day.

As I sat there, engrossed in my thoughts and the pages before me, my eyes were drawn to a framed photograph on Jermaine's coffee table. The captured moment was the very day after our engagement, when we had found ourselves in the romantic city of Venice, gliding along the canals on a gondola.

My heart warmed as I realized that Jermaine had taken the time to frame the photograph, cherishing that moment as much as I did. It was a tangible reminder of the love and joy we shared, even in the midst of our current disagreements. Lost in the sea of wedding inspiration and memories, I couldn't help but smile to myself. It seemed that we both treasured our shared experiences, as I had my own framed photograph of us while in Rome.

Half an hour later, my phone started ringing. Looking at the caller ID it was Jermaine. I slide the green icon and answered. His voice sounded slightly slurred, indicating that he had indulged in a few celebratory drinks.

He explained that he had taken a cab from Derrick's birthday party directly to my place, assuming I would be home. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of our paths crossing without us even realizing it.

Renae: Well, if you're at my place and I'm at yours, it looks like we've done quite the dance tonight. I can come pick you up if you'd like. I was actually planning on spending the weekend here.
