"What the hell do you assholes want?..." Bakugo hissed, glaring at Shoto and Izuku.
"Mmh- I came out here to see why you seem upset...." Deku looked down at his feet. "Same here..." Todo replied. "Well I'm not some damn baby. Now just go away and leave me the hell alone!" the blonde barked at them.
Izu looked away. "Goodnight, Kacchan. Goodnight, Todoroki..." he mumbled, walking back inside. "You know, he really cares about you. And so do I-..." Sho whispered, following Izu.
Throughout the night, Deku could barely get any sleep. He kept waking up, and it just made him more and more annoyed. Eventually, he ended up jolting awake.
"Midoriya? Are you okay?" Kaminari asked, sitting next to him. "Morning...Wait, am I the last one up?" Izuku asked, sitting up while rubbing his eyes.
"Almost, actually. Look," Jiro pointed to his side.
He looked over to his right to see that Shoto had scooted closer to him, last night. He was sleeping on his side, facing Izu. He looks really peaceful, Deku thought to himself. He didn't even know it, but he started blushing.
A few days later after school
It's been four days since the blackout. And Shoto's been avoiding his soulmates. Normally, he would feel bad about it, but it's not like the other two haven't been avoiding him, as well. And to hopefully be able to clear his head, he's on his way to visit his mom.
"Come in," a voice answered. Shoto slid open the hospital door, to see a white-haired woman. "Shoto! It's nice to see you. But, don't you usually only come to visit me on the weekends?" Rei asked, obviously interested. "Yes...But something's been on my mind and it's...I don't know how to explain it," he answered, averting his gaze.
She was curious to know what it was, "You can tell me, if you would like."
Shoto sighed as he sat on the bed, "Well, one night this little girl was wondering around, on school campus and she ended up using her quirk on All Might. And only the next evening, my friend Midoriya got hit by her quirk and well- First, her quirk is she produces some sort of transparent gas, from her body, whoever breathes it in, passes out. And when they wake up, there should be a red string tied around their finger. The other end is connected to their soulmate...But Midoriya had two strings and I-...I was one of his soulmates...."
The room was silent only for a few moments. "That's such wonderful news! I can't wait to meet my future son-in-laws!" Rei exclaimed, softly.
"I-I don't think you understand...That's what's been on my mind and it just won't stop bugging me."
Her smile faltered, "What? I thought you would be happy..." He could only sigh as he buried his face into his arms, "How can I be happy when they both tried to cut their strings? Not even I tried...And yet they still did. It just...."
"It hurts."
Silence filled the room until a knock on the door broke it. "Come in," Rei replied, softly. Two familiar faces popped in, "Hi, Mom!" It was Natsuo and Fuyumi, Shoto's older siblings.
Sho turned his head away from them a he tried to wipe his damp eyes. "Shoto! It's so good to see yo-!" Natsuo cut himself off. "Shoto? Are you okay?" Fuyumi asked, placing her hand on his shoulder. He didn't utter a word.
