I'm back! I felt the need to install Wattpad and see how much notifications I got after those days. Hopefully you enjoy this new episode
- Y/N's POV -
I kept looking at haerin.
Her visuals look so unreal, it feels like I'm watching a Barbie show close-up.
"Hey.." I said, trying to break the ice.
"What is it?"
"I'm not really available right now to be..yours, but I'd love to be friends with you, for the time being." I offered, not really hoping she would accept it.
"Sure, I'll wait until your relationship with Hanni ends." She leaves.
How?
What if my relationship with Hanni never ends, though?
"Hey, wait!" I called out to Haerin.
She stopped walking away and said, "what?"
"What if my love for Hanni never disappears?"
"I don't think you actually like her, than love her." Her words left me stunned, but I guess you can say part of it is true, right?
"I- uh..sorry, for the misunderstanding. I should go now," I left the rooftop, trying to process what Haerin just said to me.
Why was that overwhelming?
I shake the words off my mind and eventually, school ends in a quick minute.
"Hey, y/n!" I heard someone yell, as I turned, it was Hanni.
"What?" I asked her before she came running up to me and panting.
"Where were you all day?" She asked,
"Oh, I was at the rooftop earlier at lunch."
"Really? Because I have ears and eyes, too, you know." She said.
"What do you mean?"
"I heard rumors about you and Haerin dating today! And that explains why I saw you and Haerin at the rooftop earlier,"
"What?! We're not dating! I don't even like her!"
Those last words felt like a whole lie.
"You don't have to lie to me, y/n. If you like her, you like her, I'm not in the mood to be jealous or to ruin your relationship with her." She leaves, a cold and saddened look on her face can be seen.
A part of me wants to make her stay, but the main parts in me wanted to let it be, mainly because she was right.
You're right, Hanni, you deserve someone better, not me.
I sigh. The truth always comes out in the end, doesn't it?
The bittersweet truth of love.
"Whatever, she's still your enemy, y/n." I mumble those words, as if I don't want to say them.
Just admit it, y/n, you like Haerin.
There's no space in my mind right now to be thinking about that.
"Love is very confusing," I say.
Love is confusing, but yet, most people want it.
I'm done with all these deep thoughts. Where's Hyein?
"Y/n!" Suddenly, I heard a voice.
Of course it's Hyein.
"What now, loser?" I say to Hyein playfully.
"You should rethink your words and look at yourself." She says, making me rethink every bit of time I wasted just to talk to her.
"Whatever, you're wasting my time, goodbye." I was about to leave, but she grabs my wrists.
"Wait! Care to tell me more about those rumors?" She asks, a mischievous glint playing in her lips as she smiles.
"What rumors?" I ask, trying to act dumb.
"Don't act dumb when you know you already are! The rumors between you and Haerin, are they true?"
"Well, I kind of want them to." Saying those words made me taken aback by my boldness.
"Wait- I didn't mean it!" I said, trying to let her know it was just my mind playing with my mouth.
"Too late! And besides, Haerin likes you, there's no way she'd reject her crush, nobody does." Hyein says, leaving me forever lost in my thoughts.
