Stuck at Daycare

Time 8am

An hour later: 

You woke up slightly groggy, unaware of where you are as you explore your surroundings with your eyes you notice the sides of the crib, then the baby binky in your mouth, you wanted to take it out but something in your subconscious told you that it is okay to keep it in. Then as you wriggle you also notice the padding under your romper dress, as you are taking in all these new sensations and feelings the same caregiver came up to you with a smile.

"Hey there cutie, your Mummy told me to treat you like any baby girl here, now I know you are a bit confused about all this, if you are just nod or shake your head so I know where you are in your mindset."

You simply shake your head no to indicate that this is where you belong, as you reach your hand to your binky to speak, the caregiver takes it out for you so you can speak.

"Umm... No, I am not confused, I am quite content, and even though I am born male, this dress makes me feel...." while speaking you couldn't help notice you are wetting your nappy, as you finish, you then end your sentence "...Happy."

"Thats good to hear dear, and do not fret, I will be your main caregiver while you attend this daycare. You can call me Aunty Patty." she says with a warm smile then pops your binky in your mouth, then asked if you were hungry as it is feeding time for all the other little babies here, to which you nodded yes as you rubbed your belly. As you are carried to the next open rocking chair for your bottle of infant formula, you went to grab the toy that was already in the crib, it was a LAMAZE Freddie The Firefly toy, Patty noticed this and grabbed it for you to hold.

"You like this toy, do you? It is perfect for a little baby girl like you, dearie. You can cuddle it while you feed from the bottle." Once Aunty Patty sat down with you in her lap, she replaced the binky with the bottle of formula, as you are happily drinking away, you notice how natural this all feels, and so without thinking your breathing rate increases to a stable 35 per minute, as well as the arm that is cuddling the LAMAZE Freddie The Firefly starts to play with it making it crinkle and rattle, while the toy is making noise you cannot help smile, Aunty Patty notices this and smiles too.

After your feed, you are then placed on a Pink Round Play mat Gym with Large Keyboard 4 in 1 Kick & Play Activity Centre, as you look around and notice a few other babies on their gyms, you take in their movements and try to do the same with some effort you manage to get the hang of it and are playing away just like the other babies in the room. You are so distracted with playing you exhaust yourself and close your eyes for a minute, as you open them again you are on the same changing mat having your nappy changed.

While you are being changed your sister Mary came up and asked Aunty Patty if she can watch her change her new little sister, to which Aunty Patty said "yes." You were a little ashamed, so you simply closed your eyes as you are still a bit tired, you don't know what was in that infant formula, but it sure made you feel warm, cozy and tired. As Mary was being a good little helper, she also found another adorable outfit for her new baby sister, it is a Princess Rompers Dress Ruffle Mesh Butterfly Wing Fly Sleeve Rainbow Tulle Skirt Hem Jumpsuit from the spare outfits box.

"Aww that's cute Mary, shall we dress her in that?" Aunty Patty asked to which Mary nodded yes. Once you are changed and dressed, it was time for Storytime, once you are seated with the other babies in the designated area for Storytime, one of the caregivers read out the story called 'The Little Red Hen' as you are propped up in Aunty Patty's lap you are listening to the story while trying to keep the same movements and babbles and coo's, really trying to be akin to the others, half way through the story you decided to naturally curl up into Aunty Patty's lap, while still listening to the story but getting sleepy for the third time that day.

By the end of the story, you are asleep again, so Aunty Patty picks you up and places you in a crib with a blanket to keep you warm while you nap for another 2 hours. You wake a few times during this nap, each time you do you are becoming more accustomed to the crib, the romper dress, the binky even the nappy you are wearing, only one thought crosses your mind, 'You are happy your Mummy sent you back to daycare, even if you are now younger than your siblings. Nothing can be better than this moment.' as your final thought you drift back to sleep to finish your nap.
