I reread this book from time to time and have been putting it off for a while while going to school, but I am going to remaster and revamp chapters from 4 and under as they don't follow anything I want to write and make zero sense.
I will change character names, personalities, origins, and descriptions.
Change the name of the Cadaver organization because it's based off of the Enclave from Fallout 2, so I want a name similar to that, as months ago it was more supposed to be a PMC.
Rewrite pretty much the entire story.
In the month-long chapter updates, I have given this entire story and universe that I pretty much dumped together a long revamp with the ideas I want. What I mean by that is that I have written out of enjoyment an entire timeline of events and basically a mountain of lore because that's what I do in my free time when I'm not playing video games or studying.
I'm pretty sure most people can tell that this book randomly just flips its writing style and is going to be written again because I have just found better ways for me to write that are enjoyable.
Overall, the book seems to be just following really random trends in this side of writing, just thrown together, like the fact that no fur is used, multiple female characters, and generic rude, dick-headed characters (Roxy and Emile). Though I like writing those characters, they just aren't fleshed out. Basically, I want to cut the majority of the characters for this purpose, to avoid having blank characters that mean nothing but apparently have this important meaning (Jax and Jack).
I know this book is called "Flesh and Fur," but I feel like I wrote too many Anthro characters, as in reality it's just Erick and Maverick who are killed, which I will 100% admit is ripped from a few other books because I like the concept, but I just executed it poorly.
Erick is a character I have begun to hate writing for; I hate his name and, overall, his motivation and age. I don't know why I followed the trend of making the main character stupid young when, in reality, I should have made him in his mid-20s instead of his late teens. This would have let me flesh out his character more. I also really hate the name Erick, and it will be changed for my own sanity.
Kat, Alice, Luna, Ruby, Jack, Jax, Emile, and Vivian (the Robotic Anthro) are the characters that won't be cut (excluding Erick), as these are simply characters that I can perfectly fit their roles into being. And as a side note, none of these characters are really interested in or used for just random sex scenes, and for another side note, I am asexual, so I don't fly with that stuff.
I think it is important to also mention the world itself, as I have written similar to media that has a divergence point with real history and my story history. This is shown by the fact that the Apexion Federation exists as it cuts across the across the USA, nearly all of Canada, and most of Siberia, along with Vend being the East Coast USA and Newfoundland Island being the last hope for the human faction. This book takes place in West Canada, British Columbia, on the island borders of Alaska.
The reason I bring this up is that I wish to change the name of the Federation because it's not really fitting for my idea and overall location. Most likely being moved to Europe or Eastern Canada.
This shouldn't take long to write and finish, as it's all already planned. As I write everything in multiple Word documents, it shouldn't take as long as it takes for a brand new chapter.
My only question is: should I make a whole new "book" or just use this as a skeleton and just put the remastered chapters into this book?
I hope this explains why I haven't posted a new chapter, as chapter seven is already done. I just want to change everything first.
This will be done over 3 weeks or more.
Also, Hi Rose, you are smelly if you are reading this, and thank you for the motivation.
