You were rushed out of the hotel with outmost urgency. Your boss had understood that you were dangerously injured by 'robbers' that broke into the room and that Kid was trying to protect you while help came.

You weren't currently in a hospital, but Law reassured you that you would all be safe while this breach of security was thoroughly dealt with. He had induced you into sleep again, much to your protesting but soon didn't even fight against him as the pleasant darkness came and into a dream you were submerged once more.

In the dark you spent hours.

Trying to gather your bearings and analyzing how it had come to this. You felt better after Law treated you, however he did it, but it didn't explain why you were easy prey in the first place. You'd have to talk to the men in your life about it.

The dark was starting to feel a bit suffocating until you were pulled into the walls of your somber chamber. With that came the paralysis you'd always expect from it.

You felt a little bit of dread until your cheeks were smooshed by thick fingers and your chin rested on top of a rough palm.

"I expected you to freak out bout' being back in the dreamscape, sweetheart."

"Eustass!"

You could hear the chuckle you liked dance around your ears. It was as if he was everywhere and nowhere.

Like Schrödinger's cat.

"You're alive!"

"Fucker's gotta try harder to off me, (Y/N)."

It felt so nice to be able to hear him again.

"When you wake up, come and find me." Kids voice mumbled. "Warning: We're in the Ghost King's castle. Law can better fill you in about it."

'What?' You thought, eyes slowly closing and the comfortable feeling of the covers came back. The fluffy pillow cradled your head perfect as you opened your eyes again.

You were again in the real world. Sore, still tender and confused.

You looked around the slightly dark room and sighed when you saw a few pictures and some toys resting against the wall or board games stacked in the shelves. There were several nightlights creating a path to the door, you appreciated this.

It was almost like out of a fairytale.

"It's my old room." You heard someone speak. "Thought you'd be more comfortable somewhere pleasant."

"Law?" You whispered, the tall raven haired man looked almost normal in a black long sleeve shirt and what could be dark colored joggers. Your suspicion about the color were brought to light as he, well, lit the room with a lamp.

"You're safe." Law mumbled as he, in a blink, was next to you and started to check the wounds on your body. Changing the dressing if needed. "And before you ask, your demon is doing fine. We're going to transfer him and you home in a couple of days. Bleeding stopped but I wanted to check for infections."

"How long have I been out?"

"A week. You've been going in and out."

A week...you didn't think you'd been knocked out for so long.

"How bad was it?"

"Don't worry about that, (Y/N)-ya. For now, focus on getting better an-"

The silence was interrupted by a loud growl-like sound.

Your stomach made its presence known.

"Maybe some food would be a good idea?"
