The Dying Signal

Escape.

As the group was walking through the abandoned mall following Grey who was walking in a direction toward who knows what Sneeg decided to speak. "Where are we going?" Sneeg asked Grey confused causing Grey to glance back at him as they continued walking. "We're going to the Security room, they have cameras there. I think we can find some of our people by going there." Grey responded to Sneeg, earning a nod from Ranboo as the four continued walking until Grey led them down a hallway into the security room.

The group was able to see that the Security room was empty, multiple screens were showing different camera views on these screens, some of these cameras caught one another's eye as they all realized that some of these cameras showed the sets where each of them remembered some part of. "How did you know about this, Grey?" Ranboo asked turning to look at them when he saw the camera that was in the heart of the server, where Ranboo was, where he 'died' in front of the audience on the live stream. Grey hearing Ranboo's comment turned to look at him as they stood there before speaking back to him, "Oh I remember Hetch speaking to someone about it. Think when they were first looking for Sneeg and Charlie, he asked one of the workers to go to the Security Room to see if they could find either or both of them and where they went." Grey explained looking at him before they moved over to one of the monitors looking at the cameras as they sat in the chair.

While Grey was sitting at the cameras looking back at the history to try and see if they could find any of the group's friends they ran into something they didn't expect to see. What they saw was what they barely remembered, them being taken by Hetch and being put under his control to help with the show. Watching themself be taken by some of the workers to further be controlled by Hetch made Grey sit there as they remained quiet. Grey had felt glad that they could escape from Hetch's control but it lingered in their feelings, they felt vulnerable and weak. With everything that happened to them, being dragged into whatever show Hetch planned and being under Hetch's control made Grey feel as if they weren't worth saving, that they were meant to stay, to be controlled by Hetch for as long as he wanted to keep them for.

Being distracted by their thoughts Grey didn't recognize someone speaking to them until they felt someone shaking them as they turned to look at Ranboo who was shaking them as he spoke. "Someone's coming, we need to go," Ranboo spoke causing Grey to remember where they were at the moment before nodding as the four left the Security room in time they watched as Hetch and a few workers walked into the Security room in an attempt to find the group. 

As the group hid out of a camera's view Ranboo turned to look at Grey as the two sat beside one another while hiding before he would begin to speak, "Grey are you okay? You seemed out of it back there." Ranboo asked them causing both Sneeg and Charlie to look at Grey as they turned to the three before nodding as they sat there. "Yeah sorry. I just saw one of the scenes from the show and it brought back everything that happened. My bad." They explained looking at them causing Ranboo to look at them curiously, not fully believing them as he was about to speak before Charlie began to speak himself, not realizing Ranboo was about to say something. "I was able to find where the others went. We need to get to them quickly and get the hell out of here man!" Charlie spoke in a bit worried tone as the others turned to look at him before Sneeg spoke. "Okay well let's go! We need to get out of here before we're too late." Sneeg explained earning a nod in response before moving from their hiding spot beginning to follow Charlie to where he saw their friends.

"Be careful you guys, Hetch is at the Security Rooms right now, he can see us in the cameras if we aren't careful," Ranboo spoke causing Grey to nod in agreeing with him as they followed behind him. "Ranboos right, one wrong move into a camera's view and Hetch will have his workers here in a matter of seconds. I know a few of the camera's viewpoints so if we're careful we should be able to avoid them." Grey explained to them earning the others to nod looking at them as they all continued walking, following Charlie to the room, being directed every so often by Grey to avoid the cameras and to go another direction to avoid being spotted by the cameras. 

As the four made it to one of the hidden rooms away from most of the abandoned mall, they all walked down the hallway before beginning to hear shouting. "LET US OUT!" A female voice yelled, sounding as if she was on the verge of crying Grey stood there a bit surprised as they froze in place which led to Ranboo turning to look at them as he became worried. They all rushed to get closer to the sounds of shouting before they all went into the room. When the four got into the room they all noticed a couple of people they all remembered from before. Niki, Ethan, Austin Show, and Vinny. 

"Ranboo?" Niki asked looking at them confused before the others walked into the room causing the entire group of people to be surprised. "How did you guys get here?" Ethan spoke to the 4 as Grey went over to the bars before unlocking the gate and opening it to allow the 4 to get out of there before they spoke. "No time to talk right now, we can explain everything later. We need to get out of here, now." They explained causing Ranboo to agree with them before he spoke up. "Grey's right. Hetch will eventually know we're here and have people come here to stop us." Ranboo explained to them causing everyone to nod before beginning to leave. 

When the group was about to leave Hetch stood in front of the door frame looking at them. "I see you've found your friends. Unfortunately for you, you won't be able to get out." He explained to the group with the same mask he wore before still on his face before he turned to his right and nodded as a few of his workers stepped into the door frame before moving toward the group. "I know a way out of here, come on!" Austin spoke to the group before running in the opposite direction causing Ranboo to look in that direction confused for a moment before following him as the others followed in pursuit, the workers following after them. 

When the group got out of the room they were all once in, Ranboo directed them somewhere out of the view of the security cameras and out of view from the workers as he spoke. "How did he know where we were?" Niki spoke looking at the others as they all stood there. "Grey, did we dodge all of the cameras?" Ranboo spoke looking at them as Grey looked back at him before they responded to him. "Yeah, we did. I don't know how he found us." Grey spoke sighing before Vinny looked at them before he spoke. "What about the camera right at the door you found us at?" Vinny asked looking at the group causing Grey to turn and look at Vinny confused. "There was a camera at the door?!" They spoke surprised causing Sneeg to sigh as he looked at the others while Vinny nodded looking at them. 

"Well that explains how he found us, we just need to get out of here now. Before they find us again." Ranboo explained looking at the group as they began to think of a way out of the abandoned mall before Grey got an idea. "Okay so hear me out." They began looking at everyone causing the others to turn to Grey looking at them. "So I remember Hetch showing me somewhere that led to the outside of the place, an open place in case this place ever got raided by law enforcement. I think if we get there in time we should be able to get out of here before Hetch realizes we took that escape." Grey explained to them causing everyone to look at Grey before Sneeg became worried slightly as he spoke. "But what if they're there already waiting for us?" He asked looking at Grey causing Ranboo to speak up as he spoke. "Then it's us against them really," Ranboo explained looking at them as the group realized he was right. There were more people than there were before meaning they could get past the workers and escape from the abandoned mall.

"There's no time to waste, let's go!" Grey spoke before beginning to move toward the direction they remembered Hetch showing them causing the others to begin to follow them. Grey would lead the group down a few hallways before they got to the door that seemed to be unlocked. While the group quickly walked to the place they began to hear a door slam behind them Grey stopped in place and turned around before seeing Hetch standing there looking at the group before workers appeared behind him running after the group as Niki shouted. "RUN!" She shouted before running toward the door causing everyone else to follow in pursuit. Getting to the door, Grey quickly went over to the door taking a brief moment to kick the door open allowing the group to run out.

When Grey got out, they held their hand up to their face, being blinded by the sunlight as they looked around breathing in the fresh air. Everyone felt glad to be out of the abandoned mall, to feel more safe and free from everything. "Well we've made it out of here..." Ranboo began, turning to the group as they all stood there. "We can finally continue our lives, it won't be the same but it will be a chance to be free again," Ranboo explained looking at the group as Grey nodded in agreeance with him as they stood beside him. "Ranboo's right, we're free now. We can go back to our lives." They explained looking at the group as everyone nodded happy that they escaped as everyone began to walk in their separate ways. 

Even though this was the end of their adventures, there is still one more :)
