(2 months later)

As the weeks went by, I felt my connection with Harry grow stronger and stronger. We had spoken almost every day, and when we didn't, we were on call or messaging. Words could not describe how hard I'd fallen for him, but I just couldn't find the right time to tell him.

Well, that was until we were both sat in Jj's living room, and he began to question me, a sense of nervousness in his voice. "So...Lexi... me, Ethan, Faith, Josh, Freya, Simon and Talia (the girl Simon had cheated on me with) were planning on going to Amsterdam next Thursday, until the following Monday, and well.... I was wondering if you wanted to come?"

Words cannot describe how quickly I seized the opportunity with an excited "yes, of course." This was it. I could finally tell him how I felt, hoping that he would feel the same way.

He politely nodded at me, almost to acknowledge the obvious excitement I was showing. He pulled me into a tight bear hug, before turning to leave. "Wait, Harry." I yelled. He turned around, puzzled, as I raced Upstairs.

When I came back, I was holding the same azure, fluffy hoodie he had given me months ago, but I had forgotten to give it back. "Here, I believe this belongs to you."

He smiled gratefully, before pushing the hoodie back into my arms. "You can keep it, it suits you really well."

I felt butterflies begin to erupt in my stomach and I replied "thank you, il see you soon."

Harry smiled at me as he waved. Then, he turned to leave and jumped into his car. For some reason, I was still stood at the entrance to my house, paralysed, while his hoodie lay softly in my arms. Well, that was until Jj appeared out of nowhere "ahem, earth to Lexi. You alive?"

I rolled my eyes before teasingly punching him in the arm. "I'm pretty sure I'm alive thank you very much." We both walked back into the house, collapsing onto the sofa and putting on the Saturday night football.

(The following Thursday)

"Hurry up Jj, I'm gonna be late to the airport." I said excitedly, adrenaline rushing through my veins.

"Unless you want me to crash or get a speeding ticket, this is the fastest I can go." He said sarcastically, almost deliberately slowing down to car to annoy me.

As we arrived at the airport, Harry was stood at the entrance waiting for me. Agitated, he shouted "Hurry up Lexi, our flights in 30 minutes!"

Quickly, I gave Jj a hug goodbye before lifting my suitcase out of the boot and joining Harry, who was eager to get into the airport. As we scanned our plane tickets, I noticed that I was sat next to Harry, with Ethan and Faith in front of us and Simon and Talia behind. Josh and Freya were sat on the row across from us.

When we boarded the plane, I suddenly felt horrified. I was so excited to go abroad that I was totally oblivious to my fear of flights. And, to make it worse, Harry started watching documentaries of plane crashes, reading out the deaths and the type of planes that crashed. "Harry, please shut up, now's not the time."

Harry gave me a confusing look before suddenly realising the problem. "Oh, sorry. I didn't realise you were afraid of flights."

"It's ok, i just totally forgot that I'm afraid of flying and by you reading out plane crashes, it just makes it worse." I gave Harry a petrified look before glancing in the opposite direction, towards the window. Then, suddenly, I felt a warm, gentle touch against my hand. Harry had grappled onto my hand, in an attempt to make me calmer before the flight. I gently smiled nervously, as I leant against his shoulder, shutting my eyes as we were about to take off.

After what felt like forever, I opened my eyes to Harry's soft voice, "don't worry Lexi, we've taken off and you're fine."

I let out a loud, relieved sigh before smiling warmly at him. I began to relax until I realised that he was still held onto my hand. Although It gave me butterflies, I moved my hand. He couldn't know I liked him. Not yet. Not until I found the time to confess. However, I did continue to lean onto his shoulder, and as I shut my eyes, I could feel his head pressing gently onto mine, like he was falling asleep too.

I woke up to the raucous sound of passengers leaving the plane. Somehow, we'd both managed to sleep through the whole flight. As we left, I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder. It was Simon. "Lexi, can I speak to you for a minute?"

I gave him a puzzled look before replying with "ok".

Then, he led me to a nearby room near the entrance of the airport, before giving me a serious look. "Lexi I just wanted to say I'm sorry about how things ended, I promise I was going to tell you eventually."

Of course I didn't want to forgive him. I could never forgive him after what he did to me. But, not forgiving him would make things way worse, so I managed to mumble, "it's ok."

"Also, is there anything going on between you and Harry? I know this sounds like a lot to ask to but do you mind not dating him, for the sake of mine and his friendship. It will completely ruin it."

I gave him a reassuring look before replying: "don't worry, there's nothing going on between me and Harry, and if there was, I would tell you about him."

He let out a sigh of relief. "Okay thanks, let's go back to the others now." We both headed back to the group, where Harry gave me a concerned look. I could tell he was eager to find out what Simon had said to me, but before he asked, I told him. "He only apologised for what happened a couple of months back, and he wanted to make sure there was nothing going on between us, which there isn't." Harry disappointedly stared at the ground, before mumbling "ok". Then, we all headed over to the taxi, which took us to our hotel destination.
