Chapter XXIV

*beep beep beep*

The repetitive sounds of the alarm went off as my eyes fluttered open. Next to me, lay Harry, who I assumed must've also fallen asleep during the documentary, since the Tv was in standby mode. I gently reached over to turn off the alarm, careful not to wake him up, but he ended up sensing my presence and rolled over to face me. "Hey, you alright? Sorry we both feel asleep so I'm sorry that you're in the same bed as me."

"It's fine, I don't mind. I was just trying to turn of the alarm."

"Oh okay." He reached over to grab his phone before raising an eyebrow. "Why do I have so many notifications on Twitter?"

I shrugged as he opened up the phone. His expression suddenly changed as his face grew pale and his eyes widened. "Lexi.... did you... by any chance start a stream?"

"No..... why?"

"Because you somehow managed to stream the whole of last night, including the kiss. The whole world now thinks we are dating"

I glared into his eyes before gasping.

"Oh shit."

Frantically, I grabbed my own phone and headed straight to Twitter (X). A mortified look crept upon my face as dozens of videos of the kiss appeared; the search 'W2s new girlfriend' had somehow reached #1 on trending. Stiffly, my head turned to face Harry. "What do we do. If I even try to go home I'm sure people would recognise me."

He raised an eyebrow back at me before widening his eyes, I could tell an idea had sprung in his mind. "What if I addressed that we weren't dating and the kiss was an accident?"

"Yeah....no. Not even a 5 year old child would believe that."

Harry shrugged before nervously standing up and heading towards his wardrobe. Then, he pulled out a green hoodie with the logo 'childish' in the middle and handed it to me. "Wear this, I'm going to attempt to get you home but keep the hood up incase anyone recognises us."

I nodded as we both got up and ready. After, we headed for the door as I pulled up my hood, praying nobody would spot us together.

Luckily, I'd managed to get home safe. However, there would be no way that I would go outside unnoticed after what had happened on social media, so, I decided to Isolate myself in my house for a few days, just to let things die down. Harry seemed to have the same idea, since Josh messaged me to ask why Harry hadn't turned up to any sidemen shoots. I just replied with a simple "I don't know, he's not with me."

However, after isolating for a couple of days, I received an unknown phone call, from some one who had their user ID off. As I picked up the phone, I was met with an unfamiliar voice: "hello, this is Lexi Devon, right?"

"Yes"

"Right hello, this is the BBC news here to report the recent news about you and Harry Lewis as a new couple, is this correct?"

My tone of voice suddenly changed to a furious one, as I angrily replied: "no, we aren't even dating. We both had a lot to drink and it was a misunderstanding, we are just friends."

"Thank you for your time." Then, randomly, they hung up.

Everything seemed to die down after that, as the videos of us kissing slowly faded into a distant memory, and the videos of me clarifying everything crept their ways into social media.

After what seemed like forever, I could actually go outside again, and more importantly, see Harry.
