Suddenly, I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder. I turned around to face Harry before taking out my AirPods. "We're here."
Curiously, I stepped out of the car and scanned the area, only to realise we were at the airport. "Harry... what are we doing here?"
"You'll see, just follow me." He walked around to the back of the car, only to pull out two suitcases, handing one to me.
"Wait, so this is why my wardrobe looked empty this morning. You packed it last night."
"Yeah, just wanted it to seem more like a surprise." He joyfully smiled at me as he led me indoors, walking towards the security area. I suspiciously followed him, unaware of what was going on. Then, after half an hour of checking in, we walked towards terminal 4. "Harry, where are we going?" I gave him a concerned look but he just beamed back at me. "You'll see." Curious but excited, I continued to follow him, waiting for 20 minutes before being able to board our flight.
As we walked onto the plane, I began to feel uneasy. "Harry, you sure were going to a good place?" Which he just replied with "positive." Obviously, I trusted him, so whatever he was planning, I knew it would be good.
The flight seemed like a smooth ride: Harry has his AirPods in and had fallen asleep and I'd just been playing offline games, bored out of my mind. The flight lasted at least 4 hours before I shook Harry to wake him up. "Harryyyyyy." His eyes fluttered open before he irritatedly looked at the time, "what" he said in a raspy voice. "How long do we have left, I'm bored." I whined at him. "Uhh, around 6 hours"
"6 FUCKING HOURS!" I clasped my hand over my mouth, realising I'd spoken too loudly. Harry gave out a small chuckle before replying, "try and sleep, and it'll be over before you know it. Now I'm awake, I might as well finished my documentary." I rolled my eyes sarcastically before resting my head gently on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as my vision began to vanish and I dozen off into a world of heaven.
*** "Time to wake up princess." I lazily fluttered my eyes open to see Harry smiling at me. "What, where are we?"
"Welcome to the Maldives."
I squealed joyfully before pulling Harry into a warm hug. "Thank you so much Harry omg. Iv always wanted to go here."
"I know, you may have left your phone open a couple of months ago when you fell asleep. I saw on your bucket list in notes." He smiled at me before kissing my forehead.
Stepping outside I could feel the warm flush over me, like a tidal wave. I could also feel the gentle breeze drowning me, keeping me cool and stopping me from overheating. Harry led me to a taxi, which he had arranged to meet us to guide us to our hotel. He held open the door for me, allowing me to slip inside before quickly entering after me. The further we travelled, the more amused I was by the captivating surroundings around me. Birds fluttered elegantly along the palm trees, occasionally resting to feed their chicks whilst coconut hills shone brightly in the distance, some filled with villas. Eventually, the taxi came to a halt before the driver turned round to face us. "Here we are, enjoy your stay!" We both thanked him before stepping out, along with our suitcases. As I admired the villa in front of me, I couldn't help but think about how lucky I was to have the one and only Harry lewis to myself, and I was hoping he felt the same about me.
As we inspected the area, I grew more and more exhilarated, not only because I was on my dream holiday, but because I could spend it with my favourite person. As I walked up to him, I gently wrapped my arms around him, before my burying my face into his shoulder, attempting to hold back tears of happiness. I could feel his body soften as he placed a gentle kiss on my head. "You okay?" He whispered. "Happy as can ever be." I replied, before pulling him into a soft, gentle kiss. I could sense him smile as he pulled away, before his expression suddenly changed as he checked his watch. "Shit, I have a reservation at a nearby restaurant and we need to be there at 8. It's 7:30 now. Hurriedly, we both scattered off to our suitcases, attempting to find something to wear. I pulled out a sapphire silky dress before heading over to do my makeup. Then, the time turned 7:55 before we headed off.
