Once they arrived at the Capital, Zia was separated from Cass and Finnick. She was lead by a couple Peacekeepers into a room with a cot, a shower head, and carts of way to many beauty supplies than Zia even knew existed. Standing by the cot was a strikingly beautful woman with long auburn air that almost reached the floor. It was held together in intricate braids. She was wearing a bright, lime green, suit that highlighted the green beads breaded into her hair and the green eye make up. The woman turned around when she head the door shut and smiled wide at Zia.
"Oh, you must be Zia. Baby, you are absolutely gorgeous. Im not going to have to do much!" She gushed at the blonde, who was still standing at the door uncomfortably. She looked over at Zia and her face turned serious, almost empathetic. "Dont worry baby, this part isnt bad. This might be the best part of the whole ordel. Ill take care of you. Im Arabella by the way." Zia was shocked. This woman didnt seem like the typical capital citizen, she was looking out for Zia. From the looks of it she knew how brutal the Hunger Games were. Zia cautiosly, made he way twards the woman and sat down on the cot. The door opened again and a couple more people came in and began to get to work on her. They painfully got rid of evey single hair on her body. Put a lot of things on her face that Zia didnt even know the name of. They pulled at her hair and slipped her into her outfit and heels. They walked her over to the mirror and she had to admit, she was speechless. Her hair was done in tight waves. There was no sand or grime in her hair, it was nice. She was wearing a two piece dress, the top was nude and had thin straps with pearls weaved inbetween the threats of the bodice. The skirt was ancle length and flowy, the same color as the top. There was a slit going up almos the entire side of the skirt. She was wearing stark white heels that made her feel powerfull and commanding. Her eyes were shadowy and peircing. Around her wrist was a woven bracelet that she had refused to take off. When Finnick had gotten back from his games, he had no coping mechanisms for when he would have nightmares or panic attacks. Zia would be there to help him try new things, but the only thing that they found that worked well, was braiding and tieing knots. Sicne then Finnick always kept a couple pieces of rope in his pocket to figet with if the need arose. A couple years ago, as a thank you to thier support and friendship, Finnick had made both Zia and Caspian bracelets. She hadent taken it off since. Lukily it went with the outfit, so her stylists didnt put up much of a fight.
Zia was then lead to a carriage where Cas was already waiting, talking with Finnick and Mags. He was wearing dark blue pants and a lighter blue colored top that revealed his chest. Despite where they were she couldn't help but to laugh at him.
"You look like a pirate." She commented on his outfit. He grinned at her brighter attitude,
"Well you look beautiful, I clearly got screwed over here." He gave her a tight hug and helped her into the carriage. She notaced that he was also wearing Finnicks bracelet. They looked down at Finnick and Mags for instruction on what to do once the parade started but Finnick was distracted, staring at Zia. He was awestruck. He had always known she was beautiful, but he had never seen someone look so stunning. Even surrounded by all of the dressed up tributes and the Capital citizens with their dress to impress attitudes, Zia shone brighter then them all. She looked so natural, so confident that Finnick forgot what they were even doing there, until Cas cleared his throat,
"Hey Finn, do you mind not checking out my sister and instead tell us how to make a good first impression."
"Oh, huh, yeah." Zia turned away and blushed but the corner of her mouth turned up. It felt nice to make Finnick speechless, he was usually so sarcastic and flirtatious that his genuine silence meant a lot.
"Alright when you guys get out there" Finnick cleared his through again which made Cas roll his eyes, "you guys need to present a united front. Hold hands, smile, wave. Be overall pleasant while making sure they know that you two are a team." They both nodded and Cas reached down for Zias hand. "Oh and Z, you look beautiful." Finnick, back to his usual self, winked up at her and she wrinkled her nose at him, "thanks Finnie." Then they where off, squeezing Cas's hand, they were thrust into the arena full of cheering Capital fans. Zia tried her best to smile and wave, wishing that she was still back in 4, walking to the cove with Finnick, searching for seashells.
