Slime Cat

Chapter 1

Nick Sids flips another burger patty on the grill, while Riah Albarne is serving another coffee to the costumers, and the cats are everywhere, sleeping, playing, eating, and walking around.

It was a calm day, nothing big or noteworthy, and they were not expecting anything of the sorts to happen in this small cafe on a small island.

A black cat with a green bandana and a yellow bell on her neck, was sleeping by a tree in the outside patio, enjoying the quiet rain and the soothing wind.

The cat cafe has always been this busy, and the lovely couple have always been happy working there, and with the help of the cats, their day was as pleasant as they come, as they have always been.

"Hey Nick, do you mind checking the fridge for the chocolate milk? We're out."

"Got it!" Nick said, as he goes to check the fridge.
As Nick checks the fridge, he sees that there is no chocolate milk.
"Riah, we're out of chocolate milk, I'm going to run to the grocery store and get some, is there anything else you want?"

"Some milk for the cats would be good, thank you, love."
Nick grabs his umbrella, and leaves to the grocery store.
"See you in a few!"
Riah waves at Nick as he leaves.
Riah turns to look at the black cat with the green bandana and the yellow bell.

"I wonder if the cats will miss him, it would be sad if they didn't."

The black cat yawns and stretches, then curls up into a ball.
"Aw, I can't believe it, even the cats miss him already."
Riah makes her way out and sits beside the black cat and pets her, the cat purrs softly as she pets her.

Meanwhile, Nick has arrived at the grocery store, and is browsing the isles looking for the chocolate milk and the milk for the cats.

"Let's see, here's the milk, but where is the chocolate milk? Huh?"

Nick sees the chocolate milk on a high shelf.

"Hah, you think you can get away from me?! You've got another thing coming! Well guess what I have a long wingspan!"

Nick grabs the chocolate milk and the milk for the cats, and puts them in his shopping cart.

"And that's it, now to pay for these."

Nick makes his way to the checkout, and pays for his items.

"Alright, that'll be $13.25."

"Ok, here you go."
Nick hands the cashier a $20 dollar bill, and receives his change and his receipt.

"Thank you, have a nice day."

"You too."

Nick makes his way out of the store, and back to the cat cafe.
When Nick arrives, he sees that Riah is sitting by the black cat with the green bandana and the yellow bell, still petting her.
"Hey Riah, I'm back."

"Welcome back."

Nick notices the black cat with the green bandana and the yellow bell.

"I think we should tell Dave about this cat, it's cute and we should take care of it, we have space for it and it seems friendly, what do you think?"

"Sure, let's go talk to him."

The two make their way inside, and into the kitchen, where they see Dave, the owner of the cafe.

"Hey Dave, there's a cat outside and we think it would be a good idea to keep it, can we?"

"Sure, go ahead, just make sure it doesn't cause any trouble."

"Thank you!"

The two go outside, and tell the black cat with the green bandana and the yellow bell about their offer, the black cat nods her head and purrs happily.
