Chapter 6

Riah, Nick, and Bryce were all walking down the street to their jobs, the day was sunny and warm, and the streets were bustling with activity.

They reached the cafe, and were greeted by the smiling faces of their co-workers.

"Morning guys!" Nick exclaimed

"Good morning" said the kind employees

"Hey, I heard the FBI are here."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I heard that they're interviewing everyone who lives in the island."

"I guess we should be prepared"

"Yeah, we should"

"I wonder if they'll find out about Drew"

"I hope not"

"Me too"

The three friends went inside and began their day.

The cafe was busy, and the employees were working hard to keep up with the flow of customers.

The three friends clock in and start working.

"I'm going to the breakroom" Riah said.

"Okay" Nick replied

Riah made her way to the breakroom and saw a group of three FBI agents.

"Excuse me, can I help you?"

"Yes, can you tell us if a slime is kept in your premise" the female agent asks.

"I'm sorry, but what?"

"A slime, like a slimy blob, have you seen any around?"

"No, not that I can remember..."

"Well, thank you for your time, if you see any, please contact us immediately" the male agent said.

"Uh, okay"

Riah watched as the three agents left the cafe, and she couldn't help but worry.

"I think they know." Bryce says.

"Yeah, no dip Sherlock!" Nick replied.

"What are we going to do? We can't just let them take Drew."

"He's safe though, right? They can't get into the house, can they?" Riah asked.

"Not unless they have a warrant."

"Then we have nothing to worry about."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

Meanwhile Drew is in the backyard playing with the toys Nick and Riah bought for him, he was having a blast, jumping around, chasing the ball, and climbing up the jungle gym, but something was missing, Drew couldn't quite figure out what it was.

"Something is missing, I'm bored, but I don't know what's missing, oh well" Drew said to himself.

Drew continues to play with his toys, but he is soon interrupted by the sound of a motorcycle engine.

"Huh? What's that?"

Drew goes inside to see what is going on, and is surprised to see that Nick and Riah are not home.

"Where are they?"

Drew is puzzled by the absence of his two friends, but decides to continue playing with his toys.

A few hours pass, and Nick and Riah still have not returned.

"Must be at work."

Drew continues to play with his toys, hoping that his friends will return soon.
