Wanda Maximoff paced anxiously in the small, dingy apartment she shared with her twin brother Pietro in Novi Grad, Sokovia. Their home country had been ravaged by war and strife for as long as she could remember. Outside the window, explosions and gunfire echoed in the distance as the latest conflict raged on.

Wanda's 9-year-old daughter Keven cowered on the couch, her hands over her ears trying to block out the terrifying sounds. Tears streamed down the little girl's face. Wanda's heart broke seeing her daughter so frightened and traumatized by the never-ending violence that surrounded them.

"Mama, I'm scared," Keven whimpered. "I don't want the bad men to hurt us."

Wanda rushed over and pulled Keven into a tight embrace, stroking her dark hair. "Shh, my love. Your uncle Pietro and I will always keep you safe. I promise."

The door burst open and Pietro zoomed in, his super-speed allowing him to dodge the bullets and bombs outside. "It's getting really bad out there," he said grimly. "Stark's missiles are blowing up everything in sight. Families, children, homes - he doesn't care who he kills with his weapons."

Fury and hatred for Tony Stark burned in Wanda's eyes, the same loathing shared by her brother. The Maximoff twins had vowed revenge against the billionaire arms dealer after watching their parents die in a bombing involving Stark Industries rockets. His callous profiteering had ripped apart countless lives.

"Stark will pay for what he's done," Wanda seethed. A red glow emanated from her hands as her anger triggered her newly acquired telekinetic powers. Random objects around the room began to levitate and tremble. "For our parents, for Sokovia, for all the innocent blood on his hands."

Pietro nodded, a determined look on his face. "Von Strucker says it's almost time. With these powers he gave us, you and I will make Stark and the Avengers answer for their crimes."

Wanda took a deep breath and willed herself to calm down, not wanting to frighten Keven further with an uncontrolled display of her abilities. She had to stay strong for her daughter's sake.

"What's going to happen to us, Mama?" Keven asked in a small, worried voice. "When will the fighting stop?"

"Soon, my angel. Very soon," Wanda promised, exchanging a meaningful look with Pietro. "Your uncle and I are going to do something to help make things better. Then we'll take you somewhere safe, where no one can ever hurt you again."

She knew exposing Keven to more danger was a terrible risk. But they were out of options. Working with Hydra to take down the Avengers was the only way to get justice and carve out a brighter future. She had to believe that, for Keven's sake.

Wanda could only pray that when the dust settled, they would all still be together - and the monsters who had caused their family so much pain would finally be destroyed. No matter what it took.

As night fell over Novi Grad, an eerie quiet settled outside. Wanda tucked Keven into bed, kissing her forehead softly. "Get some sleep, love. Tomorrow will be a better day, I promise."

After Keven drifted off, Wanda and Pietro spoke in hushed tones in the kitchen. "I don't like keeping Keven in the dark about our plans," Pietro said, his brow furrowed with concern. "She's a smart girl. She knows something is going on."

Wanda sighed heavily. "What choice do we have? She's too young to understand our mission. I don't want to burden her with the truth about what we've become, or the things we'll have to do."

"She'll find out eventually," Pietro pointed out. "Especially if we succeed in tearing the Avengers apart. It'll be all over the news."

A grim smile tugged at Wanda's lips. "When that day comes, she'll be proud of us. We'll be heroes to Sokovia, liberators who fought back against the corrupt elite and their super-powered lapdogs."

Pietro didn't look entirely convinced, but he nodded. "I hope you're right. I just want Keven to be happy and safe. That's all I've ever wanted for both of you."

"She will be," Wanda vowed fiercely. Her eyes flashed red with her resolve. "Even if we have to burn the whole world down to make it happen."

The twins fell into a restless sleep, their dreams haunted by visions of the grueling experiments that had forged them into weapons for Hydra's cause. Baron Strucker's voice echoed in their minds, reminding them of their purpose, their destiny to remake the world order.

Morning came far too soon. Wanda made breakfast, trying to keep things as normal as possible for Keven. The little girl ate quietly, sensing the tension radiating from her mother and uncle.

A coded message arrived from Strucker. It was time to move out and rendezvous with the other enhanced subjects. The final phase of their plan against the Avengers was about to begin.

Wanda hugged Keven tightly, memorizing the feeling of her daughter in her arms, not knowing when she would hold her again. "Будь храброй, любовь моя. Нам с дядей Пьетро нужно ненадолго отлучиться, чтобы сделать что-то очень важное. Но я вернусь за тобой, как только смогу. Тогда мы начнем новую жизнь вместе. Я так сильно тебя люблю." (Be brave, my love. Uncle Pietro and I have to go away for a little while to do something very important. But I'll come back for you as soon as I can. Then we'll start a new life together. I love you so much.)

Tears welled in Keven's eyes but she nodded, trying to be strong. "Я тоже тебя люблю, мама. Пожалуйста, будь осторожен." (I love you too, Mama. Please be careful.)

After entrusting Keven to the care of an old neighbor woman, Wanda and Pietro slipped away. As they headed out to face their fate, Wanda steeled her resolve, determined to do whatever it took to build a better world for her daughter. No matter how much blood ended up on her hands in the process.

The battle was about to begin, and the Maximoff twins would be at its center, their long-awaited vengeance finally at hand. Everything was about to change - not just for Sokovia, but for the entire planet. Wanda could only hope her family would survive to see the aftermath.
