Levy Melts An Iron Heart

Chapter 6

Levy and Lily went out to look for Gajeel. So far they've found no leads. "Lily, should we set up camp for tonight?" Levy asked.

"I don't think we have much of a choice... We're in the forest and it's dark as hell outside." Lily said.

"You're right. Let's set up and look for Gajeel tomorrow." Levy said.

Levy set up her tent and had a sandwich that she had packed before she left. She set up her sleeping bag, grabbed Lily and curled up into the bag.

"Levy." Lily exclaimed.

"Yeah, Lily?" She asked.

"I'm proud of you, you know. You're keeping strong. It hurts, I know. I mourned the death of my partner for months. The best thing to do is stay strong." Lily said.

"Thanks Lily." Levy said with a slight smile on her face before falling asleep.

The next morning, Levy was woken up by someone shaking her shoulder.

"Shrimp! Hey Shrimp!" The voice said loudly.

Levy opened her eyes and saw a familiar face that was soon blurred with tears. "Gajeel?!"

"What? What did I do?" He asked.

Just as Levy was about to hug him, a sword thrust through his chest. Blood splattered on Levy's face. Her eyes went wide with fear, her heart was beating so fast that it felt as if it would jump from her chest. She saw a black shadow behind Gajeel.

"GAHH!" She yelled as she sat up. Sweat was dripping from her face. "Damn, another dream... That's the second one in a row." She said wiping the sweat from her face.

"Levy, everything alright?" Lily asked peaking into the tent.

"Y-Yeah. Just a nightmare, that's all." She said.

"Alright, well if you're hungry, I made breakfast." Lily said.

"Thanks Lily!" She said. "What's up with these dreams, they were very similar. Could they be connected somehow. The same dreams, twice in a row... That's beyond strange." She said to herself.

"Levy? You're acting strangely. Is there something bothering you?" Lily asked.

She sighed. "Well, I've had the same nightmares twice in a row. Well same topic that is. Someone or many people that I care about just died, murdered more like it, by the same shadowy figure." Levy explained.

"That is strange. Perhaps you're thinking it's connected to Gajeel's disappearance?" Lily asked.

"Yeah, I am actually, but a hunch isn't enough to go off of. I need proof that someone is behind my nightmares." Levy said.

"Well, if you have another nightmare tonight that is somewhat related to your other dreams, that'll be enough proof for me." Lily said with a smile.

"Thanks again Lily..." Levy said.

They both ate breakfast and started searching for Gajeel. The sun started setting, but absolutely no progress was made.

"Looks like we're gonna have to set up camp again." Lily said frowning.

"Ugh... This is irritating... It's like Gajeel disappeared off the edge of the earth. No hints or anything." Levy said.

They both started setting up camp. As they both laid down to go to sleep Levy was hesitant.

"Is there an issue?" Lily asked.

"Even though these are dreams, it's hard for me." Levy said.

"I understand, but if you don't sleep, we won't have the chance to find out if someone is behind these dreams." Lily said.

"You're right Lily... As usual." Levy said.

"Of course I am. When am I wrong?!" Lily said with a modest smile.

"Whatever you say." Levy said.

They both rolled over and went to sleep.

The next morning Levy woke up. "Hmm, no dream? Guess it wasn't the cause of a human." She said to herself. "Lily, where are you?" She yelled out, noticing Lily was missing.

"Lily's dead, sweetheart. I disposed of his body like I did with your precious Dragon Slayer." The man said.

"You're lying! Where's Lily?!" Levy asked.

"I told you, he's gone! You're next!" The man said with an evil smile.

"Is this for real. I usually wake up when I find out my friends are gone. I'm actually awake!" She said to herself.

Hey people! There's chapter 6!!!!! Sorry this took so long I wasn't expecting this story to get this far actually. I'm super happy that everyone that's reading it is enjoying the story. Also, as a side note, PLEASE don't skip chapters DX all of the chapters have importance. If you want to understand the chapter, you need to read the previous one first.
