Levy Melts An Iron Heart

Chapter 8

Levy teared up. "Gajeel..." She whispered as Gajeel angrily cracked his knuckles.

"My name is Thanatos, named after the god of death. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He said in a rather calm manner.

"I don't give a damn what your name is. You ambushed me, attacked my guild, and worst of all, you hurt the Shrimp! You must have a death wish!" Gajeel said. He was angrier than ever and he had a death intention on his face as he gave into blind rage.

Thanatos laughed. "This should be good!" He said, preparing his attack. Gajeel lunged forward. "Iron Dragon Hard Fist!" he said as he punched Thanatos. "Iron Dragon Sword!" he said as he angrily swung his arm around at Thanatos. "Iron Dragon... Roar!" His voice sounded like a Dragon's roar. His relentless attacks left Thanatos helpless.

"Heh.... You're strong. It'll be fun killing you!" Thanatos said with an evil smile. "Death blast!" he yelled as he shot a black laser straight towards Gajeel. Gajeel blocked it with one hand, no problem. "What?! How could you block an instant death attack?!" Thanatos asked as he began to loose his cool.

Suddenly, a shadowy aura radiated from Gajeel. "Gihi... Lets start getting serious!" He said as he summoned his second dragon attribute.

The look on Thanatos' face said it all. "What are you?...." he asked nervously. He took a deep breath. "I don't much care what you are, you'll die here and now! Death Blaster!" He said as he fires his heaviest attack.

Gajeel disappeared.

"What?!?! Where the hell did you go?!" Thanatos asked nervously.

Thanatos felt a small breeze from behind him. As soon as he turned around, Gajeel was a shadowy figure. He punched Thanatos who instantly fell straight into the ground. He swung himself back onto his feet and shot at Gajeel with another attack. It went straight through Gajeel who then dispersed into a shadow. Gajeel landed another hit. He landed countless hits. He then readied his finishing move. "Dragon Slayer Secret Arts! Karma Demon; Iron Shadow God Sword!" He said as he clapped his hands together. His hands turned into a giant shadowy sword. He swung down at Thanatos who was unable to move. He landed a direct hit. Thanatos collapsed and landed on the ground with a thud.

"So this is how it ends. Not really the dramatic ending I'm used to... Whatever, I don't want to see your face here ever again!" Gajeel said angrily.

"Oh.... But it's only the beginning, Black Steel." Thanatos said.

"What was that?" Gajeel asked.

Suddenly Thanatos began to... Dissolve. Into thin air! "It's only... The beginning." He said as the wind carried him away.

Gajeel turned around as he turned back to normal. Everyone cheered for their friend was alive. The crowd of people rushed towards him only for them to get the cold shoulder. Gajeel pushed passed the crowd of people and held a hand out to Levy. "You alright Shrimp?" He asked.

Levy didn't respond, she only pulled his head down and kissed him. Everyone, even Gajeel was surprised by her actions. Once she ended the kiss, she grabbed Gajeel arm and swiftly exited the guild.

"H-Hey! Where are we going Shrimp?!" He asked nervously.

"Somewhere." Levy responded shyly.

"What kind of answer was that?!" Gajeel asked, beginning to get irritated.

Levy didn't say a word as they both entered Fairy Hills.

"Hey! You know I ain't allowed in here! Even if you dragged me in here on purpose, that scary bitch, Erza is gonna kick both of our asses!" Gajeel said nervously.

Levy ignored Gajeel as they headed up to her apartment in Fairy Hills. She quickly closed the door and fell to her knees in tears. "I knew you weren't gone.... I... I just knew it!"

Hey people!!! There's chapter 8! I hope you liked it and an apology about the long wait. I've been so damn busy with work, I didn't have the chance to work on this story. The only reason I didn't have to work today was because my work partner's van had an "issue"... The engine literally EXPLODED!!!!!!! Popped the hood completely off its hinges!!!! Don't worry, my partner is just fine, severely angry, but fine XD. I might not have work tomorrow either. I dunno... Anyways I'll see you all in the next chapter!!!!!!!
