Chloe pov

I was walking throught the hallways when all out of the sudden I bumped into someone. I've never seen her in this school before, she must be new. She had all coffee on her shirt and sighed lightly.

'Oh my, I'm so sorry is there something I can do to help' I asked worried.

'Oh it's alright I needed a costume change anyway' she said smiling. It looked like she was sarcastic, oh no, I never wanted to make a bad impression. What did I do?

To the camera:

This is so embarrasing, what am I supposed to do now with my life. Bad school start, and school hasn't even begon. Let's just? uhm? Pray?

I quickly walked to my locker, trying to leave the embarrasment behind me. Which is quiet impossible. I grabbed my stuff and all out of the sudden I hear some people fighting. I looked over my shoulder and saw Nini, and her boyfriend I guess? 

'Chloeee' Seb exclaimed when he saw me. 'Sebbiee' I hugged him, 'hey Natalie' I said exited.

'Please make your way to the gym for our annual back-to-school kick off' I heard the speakers say. Me, Sebastian and Natalie walked to the gym and sat behind the two guys that were fighting with Nini just a couple of minutes ago.

'And I'm also pleased to announce, this year, seniors will be allowed to baseball hats on fridays' the principal began. 'And now for a special introducion, this year East High has a new drama teacher. With an announcement that she swore, in writing that she wouldn't cost too much money.

Seb tapped my shoulder and I immediatly shook my head. There ain't no way I'm going to participate in a school musical.

'Why Big Red, why do things have to change' the boy from earlier says to his friend. 'Some things never change dude, I've been wearing the same socks for 3 days' his friend responds.

Ok, gross

And then... it hit me, the new drama teacher was the woman I bumped into earlier. Now I feel even worse, I probably ruined her whole show-outfit. You know those outfits to make the best first impression?

'Please hold your applause' she said calmly. 'GO WILDCATS' she screamed. The t-shirt she shot hit a boy next to Ashlyn, Ashlyn side-eyed the new drama teacher in a subtle way.

'My name is Miss Jenn, and when I heard that the school where High School Musical was shot had never staged a production of High School Musical, the musical. I was shocked as an actress, inspired as a director, and triggered as a millenial' Miss Jenn said.

'Auditions are tomorrow after school. This show could change your life. I'm saying this as a background dancer from the original movie. Thirth from the left, back row, red headband, and those are my real teeth. Oh, and meet your student choreographer, Carlos. You know him as captain of the color guard. I know him as an unpaid rising star' Miss Jenn informed.

I was walking back to class, since I went to the bathroom. Suddenly I heard Mr. Mazzara say 'Exuse me, do you have somewhere to be'.

'Broadway' I heard someone say sassyly, I couldn't help but chuckle. I quickly made my way back to class.

I sat at a table with Seb and Natalie. We chatted for a while, mostly both of the lovebirds trying to convince me to participate in the musical. All out of the sudden, I realised that guy from this morning wasn't Nini's boyfriend. Nini is dating the most popular boy from school, Elton John Caswell. I gasped, so did Seb and Natalie.

'Why do you actually not participate, I mean it would be fun' Seb asked and in less than a second Natalie said, 'Yeah and I could be the stage manager'. I rolled my eyes, maybe I could've considered this you know. But after what happened earlier, there ain't no way I'm doing this

And here I am practicing for the play, who had ever thought I would do it anyway?

Some little birdy told me that Nini was also going to audition, now my chances of getting the lead are like at 5%. 

Not that care or something... 

ok to be honest I do.

You know Nini is like the prettiest girl in this girl and I'm dying to look like her. It's like she's the IT-girl or something. She gets everything she wants, it looks so easy. Maybe it isn't, I'm not the one to judge. But when jealousy takes over, it takes over.

I was going over the lines and the bell rang, I quickly made my way to the auditorium, overthinking about whatever I could overthink about. I mean what if I fall of the stage?

Or what if all out of the sudden my voice dissapears?

What if I embarras myself?
