I knew she was waking me up since I was getting up . I quickly went downstairs and greeted her good morning .
" why are you just waking up ehn am sure you were pressing your phone all night" no mummy I was just tired that's why.
I quickly helped her finish up in the kitchen then washed the plates . My sister came in and gave my mum the item she was asked to buy . I kissed her head and she smiled taking a seat at the dining table.
Things have not been easy for my mum ever since my dad abandoned us , she takes care of both I and my sister and tends to our need.
"Ore I heard your result will be released today hope you are excited" What! I checked my phone and the portal started loading I felt extremely nervous because I didn't prepare myself ahead. I was already sweating knowing I had to win the scholarship or else things would be hard. "Calm down it will be good " my mum reassured and my sister smiled then I saw the message that I had been Accepted into Hill Fred Highschool. Both my mum and sister leaped of joy and I was so happy.That is , on Monday I will resume in one of the most honoured secondary school. It was stated online that only elites and people of royalty are able to pay their school fees. I even doubted I would get in not because I was dumb but because a lot of other intellectual students are writing the exam."mom when are we going to the market to buy my school supplies " I asked eagerly . Don't worry tomorrow morning we will get the supplies and other things " . I nodded okay
I have stayed in the shop pressing my phone and texting some of my soon to be ex classmate. My mum entered the shop and asked me to go home since it was night already that she will lock the shop . I went home and as soon as I got home they brought the light so I watched television then zoned off . Thinking sceptically, I heard a lot of rumours about my new school except for the nice advantages those students were bad children the did a lot of nasty things . I heard a knock and my mum came in with my sister who was at a friends place . I went up to my room and off the lights after plugging my phone.I couldn't even sleep thinking of how excited it will be shopping for school and all the new friends I will make. Are they going to be nice or mean towards me either way . I went downstairs to drink water because I was thirsty then want to my room and I slept off
