I was already awake , I stood up woke my mum and my sister to be ready for the market . That was very unlike me because I usually woke up late .
We got to the market and I bought new socks, hair supplies and other things for my sister too cause she was also resuming in her school . I trust my mum to always price things "Madam the shoe is 5000 naira " the woman said my mum bought it 2500 naira and we were exhausted . We waited patiently for my uncle who said he was going to pick us . We saw is jeep honking from afar trying to get our attention we moved closer and he signalled us to get in. " Good afternoon sir" I greeted him ."My dear how are you? Congratulations on your scholarship. Lade how are you my Princess? Hope you are not disturbing your mum" my sister shaked her head saying no. My mum then began gisting with her brother
My uncle is a very nice person he was always there for my mum and helped us when things were going very bad. Also he introduced us to the scholarship for my new school and helped in the processing. Soon he parked in front of a very lovely restaurant and asked us to come down. We came down and entered the restaurant it looked very lovely I was sure things would be very expensive .
I sat next to my sister and he told us to eat whatever we wanted. I picked up the menu and almost fainted a bottle of water that we buy for 150 is 1000 naira I was so angry because I knew people like us couldn't afford it. My uncle sensed my discomfort and told us that we were just celebrating my scholarship and I deserved this kind of treatment
I ordered for Chinese rice and grilled turkey which am orange juice and that all ordered too. Quickly I took a picture on my phone to post on my WhatsApp because God knows when we will be able to eat this kind of expensive food again.
After eating my uncle gave me a box saying it was from my cousin and I shouldn't show my mum . He also didn't know what was in the box. I nodded and he drove us home, we thanked him for the day and he said I should enjoy my first day of school very well. I got home and we received a call from our pastor because of our absence in church my mum explained to him that they released the last batch for the scholarship and I was resuming the next day. He understood nevertheless but still told us that God should be our first purport and nothing else . My mum thanked and we all said a prayer before going to bed .
I got my room knowing tomorrow will be my first day in school and it was also announced on the news that our school was already back in section i was sad and happy about it but soon I dozed up because of how tired I was from buying necessities for school
