8 - THE CONFESSION

Sahil
I couldn't sleep all night. I didn't expect to see Riya again.
"I think I should take a leave from work today." "I can't face Noor after this."
I call Dhruv and say, "hey I am not coming to the company today."
"Is everything okay?" "You never take a leave from work."
"Yeah it's just I saw Riya yesterday."
"What did she say?"
"She said that she misses me."
"Do not listen to what she says Sahil."
"Yes I know."

Noor
"Mr.Aggarwal is no where to be seen in the company."
"I ask Mr.Tyagi about him and he said that Mr.Aggarwal's not well."
"I take a half day from work and go to Mr.Aggarwal's place with soup."

Sahil
I hear the doorbell ring and go to open the door.
I open the door and see Noor.
"What are you doing here?"
"I heard from Mr.Tyagi that you were sick so I came with soup."
"I am not sick, I just took a leave today."
"Noor, about yesterday...."
"It's okay Mr.Aggarwal." "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"No, it's fine." "I need to tell it one day anyways."
"It was 4 years ago, Riya was a music student in university."
"As we were dating, we used to meet everyday at 3:00 PM at the music room before her class."
"One day my class got over early so I decided to go to see her early."
"Before entering the music room I saw her kissing one of my classmate."
"She cheated on me and it completely broke my heart."
"I tell all this to Noor with tears running down my cheeks."

Noor
"Mr.Aggarwal tells me all about his ex-girlfriend."
"It broke my heart to see him crying like this."
"I hug and tell him it's okay."
"I stopped believing in love after she broke my heart," says Mr.Aggarwal.
"To tell you the truth, I like you Noor."
"But I'm scared that I am not enough for you."
"Don't say that Mr.Aggarwal." "You are enough for me."
He looks in my eyes and then leans in and presses a soft kiss on my lips, leaving butterflies in my stomach.
