Taylor's breath caught as the car stopped in the shadowed confines of Jade's private garage. It was her first time here, the anticipation of the unknown sending a current of nervous excitement. The day she had been spent in a flurry. Her wardrobe turned inside out as she hunted for something that felt right. Eventually, she settled on the comfort of familiarity — a sleek black number that never failed her.

The dress was simple yet striking: a black bandeau top met a high-waisted leather skirt, its slit a daring dash of elegance. A soft black cape draped over her shoulders, a subtle nod to the evening's elegance, while her feet were ensconced in strappy heels, the final touch to her ensemble. It was a look that spoke of quiet confidence that she hoped would catch Jade's eye.

"Miss Swift," James came to open the car door for her, "Miss Storm apologizes for not coming to greet you personally, but she thought it would be better not to do anything out of the ordinary to avoid suspicion. This is a private part, but we have spotted some paparazzi loitering, trying to get some pictures. Miss Jade had done everything in her power to ensure no one outside the invitees will know you even Attended, but she still advises you to be careful."

"Thank you, James," Taylor said as she accepted James's hand. Getting out of the car elegantly, James pointed her toward the entrance."Miss Storm owns the whole building, but the main party is being conducted at the penthouse. The elevator will take you straight up."

Thanking James, she got into the elevator, tapping her foot nervously as it moved up. She hated elevators, having never trusted them.

As the elevator doors opened, it was as if time had stopped. Jade was right in front of her, standing behind the bar. She was smiling as she mixed a drink at her own party, even though the bartender was standing beside her mixing drinks for the other guests.

God, She was stunning. Cloaked in an elegant red blazer that draped over a delicate lace top, the intricate patterns played a game of hide and seek with the dim lighting. It was like in slow motion; their eyes met across the crowded room, and her breath hitched at the intense state, sending shivers up her spine. The clamor of the party seemed to fade into a distant hum. The air between them charged with unspoken words.

She watched as Jade squeezed the orange in her hand that She had been peeling a little too tight, the juices bursting on her blazer, breaking their intense stare. Taylor repressed a chuckle as she crossed the room to Jade, who was cursing as she took a couple of tissues and dabbled at her clothes.

It thrilled her and her omega to see the effect she had on Jade.

"Let me," she offered softly, her hands taking over the task gently, dabbing at the stains on Jade's blazer with a carefulness that belied her amusement.

Their eyes met again in the dim lighting, a spectrum of blues that seemed to pierce the ambiance, halting Taylor's breath in a moment of quiet intensity.

"Hi," she breathed out, barely audible over the hum of the party.

"Hi," came Jade's reply, a murmur that seemed to resonate with the same frequency as the thrumming of her heart. In that crowded room, amidst a sea of guests, it felt as though they were in their own world, everything else fading into a distant blur.

"Jade!" A voice broke them out of their bubble. Kristen Stewart made her way towards them. The beta threw her arms around Jade in an exuberant hug. It made Taylor bristle at the way she pressed her body to Jade. No one should touch her Alpha.

"Kris!" Jade hugged her back just as tightly "It's great to see you! I thought you could not make it!"

"Of course, I will come! You are my Best Friend. The movie is so great! You were amazing! Definitely another Emmy for you in it", Kristen exclaimed as she pulled away, her hands resting on Jade's arms, squeezing lightly.

Jade shook her head, gently removing the hands. "Let me introduce you to someone."

Kristen turned around, her gaze meeting Taylor's in surprise as if noticing her for the first time. "Taylor! Oh my god, it's been too long!" She said, hugging her.

Taylor hugged her back a bit awkwardly. She distinctly remembered the last time in 2013 when they had seen each other. Kristen had shown up at her place after breaking up with Robert in tears, questioning her sexuality and not knowing what to do other than show up at the place of a fellow closeted Artist.

She remembered the wine, the messy kisses they had shared, and the panic and fear on Kristen's face before she left her place in a hurry not even acknowledging what they had done. Paparazzi had spotted her leaving, and Taylor had been at the end of several berating phone calls from her publicists about being careful. They hadn't seen each other since.

"You two know each other?" Jade asked, looking between them in confusion.

"Yeah, she dated Taylor Lautner. We met then, and she helped me through a difficult time when I was questioning everything about myself. She was the one who really solidified the fact that I liked Girls," Kristen explained, breaking away from the hug.

"You two slept together." Jade's voice was tinged with darkness. Taylor could see how her fist clenched, the sudden influx of pheromones around them. Taylor clenched her thighs together, trying to elevate the sudden pressure between them, the danger in the Alpha's voice making her wet.

Kristen slapped Jade's arm. "Don't be a prude; it's not like you have not slept with nearly everyone at this party!"

It was Taylor's turn to clench her fists at those words, a sudden possessiveness griping her. "She has What?"

Kristen looked between them, suddenly realizing that she had stumbled into something. The sudden pheromones from them both made her wrinkle her nose. She raised her arms in exasperation.

"Oh Fuck no, I am not getting between whatever the fuck this is" She grabbed a drink from the bar and left, muttering something about stupid alphas, stupid omegas, and their stupid instincts.

Jade and Taylor stared at each other, a tenseness in the air around them. Both not knowing what to say. Jade cleared her throat. "Let me introduce you to some people." taking the offered hand, Taylor followed behind Jade.

Jade introduced her to many people, always with the exact words, "Have you met my friend Taylor?" the word friend was driving Taylor crazy because as soon as Jade emphasized that she was just a friend, the woman suddenly seemed to gain more courage, fluttering the eyes at Jade, running a hand down her muscled arms, moving in closer, pumping out enticing hormones.

To her credit, Jade never encouraged them, always politely moving away, ignoring their very obvious flirting and the body parts thrust in Jade's face. But the more it happened, the angrier and restless Taylor got. Her Omega was screaming at her to show them who Jade belonged to, that she was not just a friend and Jade was not fucking available.

But she controlled herself, smiling politely and drowning her glass of wine, when yet another Beta woman threw herself at Jade. Taylor had reached a breaking point. She could not stand there and watch anymore. Quickly excusing herself, she went to the balcony, hoping the fresh air would clear her head.

I know it's going slower than I thought it would, but the story is writing itself going in a completely different direction than I planned!

Just hang in there, please. Another 2-3 Chapters and you will get the smut I promised!
