Chapter song...rainbow ballerina
Azalea's pov
Its my sister's dance recital today and I am honestly so happy to be home.
Its always good to come back home from the busy city life to just spend time with family.
Since its just us we tend to always take care of each other.
These two are my literal lifeline if I haven't insisted enough.
To be able to just be here and see my little sister is best proud big sister moment.
She's the total opposite of who I am and I honestly love that for her so much.
Just like her name means"behold the sun"
She indeed brings so much joy light and sunshine filled with rainbows to everyone around her.
Idalias name was chosen by my dad when he first held her and she smiled.
She's a really happy kid and I intend to keep it that way.
She's friendly, she's funny and really social.
You can never fail to smile when you're around her.
She's the light we held on so tight after dad passed away.
To see her follow in dad's footsteps is an absolute honour and I couldn't honestly be more proud.
While she followed in dad's footsteps I on the other hand followed in mamma's steps.
Her baking is the best thing you will ever taste in your whole life.
Okay maybe I'm a little biased cause she's my mum but ask around anyone who's tasted her food before...they would agree with me a hundred percent.
Even my best friend Charlie agrees.
She's at this point my mum's other daughter.
Her being the amazing friend she is..she also travelled down with me for Ida's performance.
You know you have a soul sister when she drops everything to support you but also I'm sure she came cause Ida reminds her of someone and sees her as the little sister she never had.
Sometimes I swear Idalia loves her more than me.
I'm pulled out of my thoughts when its announced that recitals are about yo begin.
The curtain opens and beautiful angels dare I say stand up on the stage.
They're all so tiny and cute all dressed up as little ballerinas and I'm sure I can see a few boys in there too.
Quick question though...are they also called ballerinas??.
Not that I'm judging or anything just a lil bit curious that's all.
Seeing them break the normal stereotype that ballet is for girls only is amazing and I absolutely can't wait to see the recital.

The recital was beautiful to say the least.
The whole act was just amazing honestly.
I just can't believe that those little angels could dance like that.
I was entranced from the start and pretty sure I shed a tear or two during the act.
These little ones have so much strength I'm in awe.
I swear I could never do even a quater of what they did nor ever being that flexible.
Those little gentlemen lifting the girls in the air was phenomenal. It made me scared for a minute thought they might fall ...glad they didnt.
Want to know the best part...my little sunshine was a swan.
That proud big sister moment again. I screamed so hard.
She was so graceful in both her solo acts.
First all, I didn't know expect her to be this good;shame on me but her acts were so heartfelt and beautiful.
Her act was amazing. She was both a black and white ballerina swan.
She danced to Rainbow ballerina.
The ending still had me screaming and tearing up at the same time.
She's the most amazing person I know.
When I grow up I pray to be half the amazing person she is.
Everyday I pray that she never stops believing or dreaming.
I will work till my dying breath to see her fly higher than the clouds.
She makes being a firstborn so much worth it.
This is my prayer to God everyday.
That she never stops smiling.
That she never loses the light in her eyes
That life is a little bit more kind for her
That she soars higher than the eagles
She becomes whatever she wants to be
I will dedicate my whole life to seeing her do just that. That is a promise.

"Lea" I heard my little sister scream as soon as she was within reach of us.
My little sun.
" Hello there my beautiful ballerina."I said as I grabbed her spinning her around as her giggles filled the entire now empty auditorium.
That right there is my favorite sound and her happy face is my favorite sight.
"Woah!!!someone is getting big. What has mamma been feeding you??"
I joked as I held her to me.
"Well unlike you, she actually eats.I mean look at you you're loosing weight my little moon."
That ladies and gentlemen is Lauren Sidi, mother dearest.
"Mamma I eat and you know that and I'm not losing weight you just love overfeeding me." I countered kissing her cheek.
"Lea,I missed you so much; I'm happy you came." My little sister said.
" I missed you too sunshine and you know I wouldn't miss it for the world."
If I could I would wrap her in a bubble so she's never gets hurt.
" So little Lia...what I'm I, chopped liver?? My very dramatic best friend says.
"Of course not you silly goose. I missed you too." She says moving from my arms into Charlie's.
If she wasn't practically my sister I would be so jealous of their relationship.
"Okay ladies...wrap it up so we can all go to dinner to celebrate Ida's performance and I'm starving.
So with that we all went out to her favorite restaurant for dinner.
Tonight was everything I could ever wish for.
I got to be with family and I got to see my sister perform.
I feel whole, complete, content being just here. My happy place. My home.
