                  Chapter 4
Its Monday and that means we're back.
I came back to Boston yesterday evening
and came back to work today.
I was so happy to spend the weekend with my family and its all the recharge I needed to face yet another working day.
The good thing is today has been a slow day and as much as it isn't brilliant for the business I appreciate the time to breath a little.
Its not unusual for a Monday afternoon to be slow so we're used to it.
Its allows us time to prepare for the evening rush which is hectic to be honest .
"Hey Lea, Simon wants to know if you'd like to bake the cookies right now?" Ailah asked.
She's one of my two friends from work.
We're really close and after Charlie  she's the closest friend I have.
We met when I started working here and she took me in and made sure I was comfortable enough.
She is one of the kindest people you will ever meet and I'm not even being biased about it.
I smiled at her and nodded confirming I was okay with taking care of the afternoon's baking.
It was something that I will always enjoy and love.
It has a way of relaxing you when you're in the worst of moods
I  would know cause the amount of times I have stress baked is insane.
I can't wait to finally get my own pastry shop.
It is a dream I can't wait to see it actualize.
Its another thing to serve but its a whole other thing for you to bake and serve knowing its your project.
To see the satisfaction on their faces when they enjoy something you've baked is honestly satisfying to watch.
Its the sole reason I want to open my own shop, the reason I spend late nights on youtube and baking through the wee hours of the morning.
You would think the long hours spent on feet would ensure I'm asleep as soon as I get home but it is not the case.

Soon enough the hours fly by and the rush starts to kick in
It would be packed soon so I would actually be needed back at the tables.
Good thing is that I'm done with the treats that usually sell out in the evening so its all good.
During the evening most people just want a cup of coffee or tea and a cookie or muffin to wind up their days.
This only changes in the winter when most just want a cup of hot chocolate with marshmellows.
It is by far my most favorite season of the year.
I know, who even likes winter?
Well I do.
From the Christmas spirit to the decorations to the cheer going around
To people just spending time with their loved ones.

Its finally time to go home and I can't wait to just relax and unwind from the long day.
The evening rush was more than I thought it will be.
We closed later than usual but its okay its not like I had any plans for the evening .
I didn't get to do any more baking  at the cafe but I'm definitely making a cake when I get home.
What better way to unwind than to just kick back with a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate heaven.
