She dreamt an old dream

She saw an eerily familiar place, Tornado stood on a crater, on an almost deserted shell of a long lost city. Scattered trough the crater, there were many shadows that suggested effigies of friends, yet the one she was holding was no shadow, his face remained as clear as the fire that burned inside her for the man she loved.

Miros breathed slowly with a calm demeanor, a smiling face and tired eyes. She craddled his head, letting it rest on her knees. Trough his lips escaped a trail of blood, then his forehead, then his nose and lastly, his eyes. But he never stopped smiling.

<<"No...">>She begged to any deity that could listen to her desesperate call for help

<<"Don't take him away from me... Not him...">>

More blood

Miros opened his mouth

More blood

-"Tatsumaki..."

More blood

<<Not Miros... Please...>>

But the tears were not enough, not enough to overrun the blood.

-"Tatsumaki!"- Miros shook her in the comfort of their bed.

The Tornado of terror had woken up with a slight headache. It was then when she noticed the lingering pool of tears that had formed on her side of the pillow. Miros was worried and she hated to worry him. The night was still quite young, she came to notice, the moonlight still danced trough the window of the room.

-"I'm fine... Sorry..."- She had straightened up, sitting still embraced by the bed sheets that shared both their heat.

-"You were crying, sorry I woke you up."

-"It's all right, brat."- She faked a yawn and quickly layed next to him again. Finding his arm to wrap around her.

-"Bad dream?"

-"Yeah... Bad dream..."

-"Wanna talk about it?"- She hated the question, it was not something she could speak about. But Miros's gentle tone was ever so hypnotizing to her.

-"Maybe tomorrow... Don't worry..."- Her eyes began to shut down.

Miros kissed her neck and began to do the same before speaking one last time.

-"I'm here if you need to talk..."

Again, the sudden urge to cry...

-"I know..."

Tatsumaki gripped him tighter.

The alarm woke her up, she realized Miros had already awaken, not sure how early...

He had a knack for gaining consciousness faster than her. As blurry as Tatsumaki's sight was, she realized he was standing beside her.

-"Sleep well?"

-"Kinda..."

-"Wanna talk about it?"

-"The what?"

-"Your dream..."- He sat on the edge of the bed.

-"It's not a big deal, seriously."- Tatsumaki's tone had changed, trying to let him know not to touch the subject, but sometimes he was too stupid for that.

-"This is the second time this week you've been crying in your sleep, are you sure nothing's up?"

-"Just the ocassional nightmare Miros, let it go."
