Adeline Morgans is one of the most popular kook girls in the Outer Banks. All the boys want her, and all the girls want to be her. At least if you're a kook. The Pogues, on the other hand, feel the opposite. They don't like Adeline or her family. They think she's just selfish and spoiled and they don't like that her family, one of the richest families on the island, chose to spend money on a hotel for tourists instead of helping the Pogues who actually need help.

The Morgan family lives next to the very wealthy Cameron family, and both families have many businesses together, especially the dads in the family. Because of this, the children in the families have also become closer. At least Nathan and Rafe, and Adeline and Sarah.

Rafe and Adeline, however, hate each other, and they always have and always will. Even though they see each other a lot, they still try to avoid each other as much as possible, even though Rafe actually enjoys irritating Adeline.

Both families also own a surf shop together that the older brothers help run, and both Sarah and Adeline also have to help out there, even though they absolutely hate it.

Speaking of family, Adeline has a pretty good relationship with both her mom and her brother, even though he can be a bit too much sometimes. But her dad, on the other hand, has dumb rules for her, and Adeline herself feels that he sometimes treats her differently compared to her brother.

Anyway, this summer, Adeline plans to have a really great last summer as a teenager before venturing into adulthood and starting college. She doesn't know yet where she's going, but it will probably be far from home, so she has to make sure to be with her friends and live her best life this summer. But will it really turn out that way when her parents come up with that stupid idea?

This is a short prologue, and I apologize for that, but the other chapters (the real ones) are longer :) love //EL
